The Russian remote mining system Zemledelie was spotted in action for the first time. It was deployed in the Kharkov region in Ukraine.

The newest complex of the Russian army allows to mine the territories occupied by the enemy at a distance of 5 to 15 km. After installation, the minefield is plotted on an electronic map, if necessary, the mines can be remotely deactivated. This allows to avoid casualties among civilians after the end of hostilities.

“The remote method of installing minefields has a number of advantages. In particular, it is distinguished by the speed of setting minefields, especially in hard-to-reach areas. At the same time, the ability of mines to deactivate or self-destruct at a given time ensures safe and rapid clearance after the cessation of hostilities,” industrial director of the Rostec weapons complex commented on the Zemledelie complex.

The complex is equipped with 122 mm ammunition. It includes a combat vehicle on an eight-wheeled armored KAMAZ chassis, a transport-loading vehicle and transport-launching containers with engineering ammunition. Each combat vehicle has two units for 25 missiles each, it is equipped with a satellite navigation system, a computer and a weather station.
