The Russian military destroyed 70 precision-guided rockets and two M270 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS) in a precision strike that targeted the ArcelorMittal plant in the Krivoi Rog region, a spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on December 7.
The spokesman, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, said during his daily briefing that the destructive strike took place a day earlier.
“According to the confirmed information, a strike by ground-based high-precision weapons against a missile/artillery armament depot in one of the workshops of the ArcelorMittal metallurgical plant in the city of Krivoi Rog destroyed over 70 rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and two MLRS launchers,” the spokesman said.
Lt. Gen. Konashenkov was likely referring to the M30/M31 series GMLRS GPS-guided rockets, which have a range of more than 70 kilometers. GMLRS rockets can be fired by both the MLRS and M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) launchers.
The spokesman said that four other multiple rocket launchers were critically damaged in the same strike, without providing any additional details.
The United States and several other NATO members have supplied Kiev forces with around 20 HIMARS systems and 16 MLRS system since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
The Russian military has been working nonstop to locate and destroy these launchers, while at the same time attempting to limit their effectiveness with air defense fire.
Recently, Russian air defense systems received a new software update that allows them to quickly detect, tack and shoot down GMLRS rockets fired from Ukrainian MLRS and HIMARS systems.
Russian efforts to minimize the impact of Ukrainian MLRS and HIMARS systems on the battlefield have succeeded to some extent. However, both systems remain a serious threat to military and civilian targets within the special military operation zone.
So who cares that Russian destroyed 70 Artillery pieces it still won’t change the outcome of the War, its been 10 whole months and the Pathetic Russians still haven’t won yet!

Well they aren’t in a rush to end NATOs slow suffering. The expenses, and loss of equipment the West is experiencing is tremendous, considering they are not in full scale conflict yet, but still involved. There will be food shortages in the west these coming months, perhaps years even. The likes of which will lead to protests, and possible crackdowns feeding more protests. The West is facing its downfall through a self imposed superiority complex.

The western supplied MLRS and HIMARS systems have proved very effective against all the civilian targets it was fired upon. Ukrainian scrap metal could be the country’s next great export business.
