On the night of October 8, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched another wave of precision strikes on the rear facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine throughout the country. The Russian military used both drones and missiles.
Russian kamikaze UAVs and missiles were spotted moving towards the southern region of Odessa. In the evening of October 7, Russian strike was recorded in the port of Odessa. A fire broke out in the area and secondary detonation was reported by local residents.

According to monitoring sources, Russian missile struck a cargo ship under the flag of Palau while unloading. The ship that was definately carrying weapons and military equipment was damaged as a result of the strike.
At about midnight, explosions thundered in the port town of Chernomorsk (Ilyichevsk) in the Odessa region. Ukrainian air defense again failed to intercept the targets but struck an apartment building when hunting for Russian drones.
