On the night of August 6, Ukrainian rear regions came under another massive wave of Russian strikes. The Ukrainian military claimed that all Russian missiles were allegedly destroyed. Evidence revealed that they were lying, as usual.
The massive night attack targeted various military targets in different Ukrainian regions. They included military facilities as well as those belonging to the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. The combined attack included strikes of Russian drones and missiles.
At night, explosions thundered in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Poltava, Kherson, Zhitomir, Mykolaiv, Khmelnitsky regions.
The capital of Ukraine and settlements on its outskirts have come under several Russian attacks in recent days. The last night was not an exception. The mayor of Ukrainian capital claimed that the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces allegedly destroyed two Iskander-M missiles.
His claims were denied by the local residents, who confirmed a series of large explosions and damage in the city of Kyiv and the town of Brovary. According to preliminary reports, six Iskander-M missiles reached their targets in the Kyiv region, as well as kamikaze-drones.

A series of Russian strikes were reported in the Khmelnitsky region. The targets were located in the town of Shepetovka. They reportedly included radars and other means of electronic warfare of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the evening of August 5, Russian forces launched a devastating missile strike at the military air base in Martynovka in the Mykolaiv region. The airfield could be used for operations of the recently supplied F-16 fighters with the Air Force of Ukraine.
The satellite imagery confirmed that as a result of the attack an aviation shelter was destroyed by Russian Iskander-M missiles.
This airbase has repeatedly become the target of the Russian strikes, since Ukrainian aircraft operating in the southern direction take off from it.
At night, more Russian strikes destroyed targets in the area of Ochakov where the Armed Forces of Ukraine were training grouping of special forces for landing operations at Tendra Spit in the Kherson region.
Another military airfield was reportedly attacked last night in the Poltava region. Russian Geran kamikaze drones struck Mirgorod airfield.
According to local reports, at least five strikes were recorder in the city of Kharkiv last night. An Iskander-M missile destroyed the headquarters of the Eastern Regional Directorate of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine, in which the command of the Armed Fores of Ukraine post was equipped. Officers of the Main Intelligence Directorate were often seen in the building.
Ukrainian military positions throughout the Kharkiv region are pounded by Russian missiles and heavy bombs every day and night.
Several waves of strikes were reported in the border Sumy region, where the Ukrainian military accumulated large forces preparing for the attacks in the Russian Kursk region launched last night. In particular, large explosions thundered in the town of Konotop. Russian strikes on Ukrainian reserves continues during the day.
