On the night of February 10, new wave of Russian strikes hit Ukrainian military and industrial facilities in the rear regions. In their turn, Ukrainian forces attempted another attack on the Crimean peninsula and Russian border regions.
An air alert has been declared throughout Ukraine since the evening of February 9, when Kiev reported that its “reconnaissance had noted the departure of the Russian MiG-31K carrier of hypersonic weapons from one of the Russian airfield .” However, the local sources later reported drone strikes in the southern regions of Ukraine.
A series of explosions thundered in the Mykolaiv and Odessa regions. At least three of them were reported in the port town of Ochakov, where warehouses with Ukrainian naval drones were reportedly destroyed. More Russian drones struck Ukrainian military facilities in the ports of Kilia and Izmail located on the Danube coast.
The Russian night attack was not limited by the southern regions. The border Kharkiv region came under another wave of strikes. A series of explosions thundered in the region. As a result of the drone strike, a large fire destroyed an oil depot in the city of Kharkiv. The local authorities attempted to assure their audience that the attack destroyed a civilian petrol station but footage from the city revealed their lie.
Other targets of the Russian attack last night included Ukrainian military facilities in the Sumy region and in the western areas of the Donetsk People’s Republic which are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the areas near the town of Pakrovsk which is struck on a regular basis.
In its turn, the Ukrainian military attempted to attack Russian rear regions with UAVs and naval drones.
According to the official reports by the Russian Ministry of Defense, over the past night, three Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed in the Bryansk region. According to the Russian MoD, on the evening of February 9, Kiev attempted a terrorist attack on civilian ships in the south-western waters of the Black Sea. Russian patrol boats deployed in the area repelled the attack, destroying one unmanned boat with artillery fire and intercepting several others with EW means.
Amid the ongoing attempts of the Ukrainian military to launch constant attacks in the Black Sea region, Russian daily precision strikes on the Ukrainian military facilities in the southern Odessa and Mykolaiv regions are likely to resume.
