Russian Strikes Setting Ground For Second Stage Of Advance In East Of Ukraine

Units of the Russian Armed Forces in Mariupol

As of April 2, the situation on the frontline remains without major changes with the most intense fighting has been ongoing in Mariupol city. Russian troops and DPR units have been carrying out the final stage of the operation to secure the city. The remaining members of Kyiv’s forces focused their defense in city port and Azovstal Plant areas.

In own area of operations, units of the Lugansk People’s Republic continued their advance on positions of the Ukrainian 57th Infantry Brigade seeking to block Borovskoe from the east and south. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, up to 30 Ukrainian nationalists and 5 armoured vehicles were destroyed in recent clashes there.

Intense artillery duels were also reported around Gorlovka and Avdeevka. Nonetheless, no active offensive actions took place there.

Besides these, forces of Russia and the people’s republics of the Donbass are working to set conditions for a large advance on the defense line of Kyiv’s forces in Slovyanks, Kramatorks and Bahmut. After securing the key area of Izum in the south of Kharkiv Region, the lack of control over the Lysichansk-Severodonetsk agglomeration remains the main obstacle in the area.

At th same time, the Russian military continues its preceise strikes on military targets in Ukraine. On April 2, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that over 100 members of pro-Kyiv forces were eliminated in the recent strike on a military HQ in Kharkiv city.

“Iskander precision strike on the defence headquarters in Kharkov city on Thursday, March 31, confirmed the killing of more than 100 nationalists and mercenaries from Western countries,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian side also revealed details on fresh strikes on military infrastructure of Ukraine indicating that the Ukrainian leadership should not expect calm in this field any time soon.

The defense ministry noted that Russian forces carried out a strike with high-precision air-based missiles on targets near the railway Lozovaya and Pavlograd stations. The strike destroyed armoured vehicles, ammunition and fuel tanks sent to reinforce the Ukrainian troops in Donbass.

Meanwhile, the Mirgorod military airfield in Poltava Region has also been taken out of action and several Ukrainian combat helicopters and aircraft found in its camouflaged car parks, as well as fuel and aviation weapons depots have been destroyed.

According to the Russians, during the day of April 2, their operational-tactical aviation hit 28 military assets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Among them: 2 depots of missile and artillery weapons and ammunition, as well as 23 areas of concentration of Ukrainian weapons and military equipment.

The Russian side noted that since the start of the operation, Russian forces have destroyed 125 aircfaft and 88 helicopters, 381 unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,888 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 205 multiple launch rocket systems, 793 field artillery and mortars, as well as 1,771 units of special military vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In general, it seems that Russia-led forces are currently mostly focused on regrouping and resupplying their units as well as securing Mariupol city. Therefore, the next stage of the Russian advance in the east of Ukraine will likely take place only after the full liberation of Mariupol and expected inability of Moscow and Kyiv to find a comprehensive diplomatic solution of the conflict in the next round of talks.

These SF reports are not very comprehensive. There are reinforcements pouring over the border now.

Zelensky

Hey Zelensky here. I know I’ve been critical of our army recently due to the lack of tactical successes against the Russians, however, I must say it pleases me greatly that many of our ukrop goblin soldiers are found to follow my lead in dressing as a woman. I am glad that I have proven to be an inspiration to Ukrainian troops at least in this regard. If you folks need more crosdressing tips, be sure to let me know. Toodles

Mikhail Mizintsev white haired general faggot

Wasn’t the second stage of the invasion supposed to be to protect the puppet ruler in Kiev the Putin faggots were planning to install? There is no puppet ruler in Kiev. The Putin faggots were all burnt to death trying. Why would Mikhail Mizintsev the white haired general faggot want to keep murdering people with artillery when Russian forces have been soundly defeated? Or the Putin faggots just want to keep attacking and murdering people just because they enjoy their gay pride parade?

Putin days are numbered

The Russian military has executed 100s of Ukrainian civilians in Bucha, mainly men but also women and children. Some of the women were raped before they were murdered. There are dead bodies of civilians in almost every street of Bucha. This is genocide. https://t.co/WFy36zlrhg

We will make sure that Russia pay the same way in the future. We will ki.ll all Russian soldiers without mercy. Slava Ukraine Death to Russian soldiers Death to Putin and Duma members.

“We” … who is “we”? You are not even old enough to vote. Go do your homework boy. You may even learn one day to make a honest living. It’s not too late. Just look at the truth. Ukraine regime has lost the moment they did not took Russia’s warning seriously. Now they begging for NATO to step in. But NATO has no business to do so. They only fight rather defenseless countries. Zelensky is already paying for his crimes. No one is willing to help him.

Putin days are numbered

Locals in Kharkiv Oblast delivered Russian invaders with poisoned pies. Several soldiers died and dozens are hospitalized. There are also 100s of Russian soldiers hospitalized with alcohol poisoning.

I wonder, will Kharkov remain in the post-conflict Ukrainian rump, or will it end up in the Russian Federation? Hard to say what the Russians will do with it.

ceasar

When I look at the map, it seems to me that the line starting from 10 -20 km west of Kharkiv, a russian speaking town, passing in a straight line from Poltava, again continuig in the straight line until the frontier of Moldova looks like a simple and practical border between the deux.

It’s up to the Ukrainian regime. But they don’t want this war to end, so they will likely loose most of it’s territory. Russia has already warned them about it. They play stupid, they loose their statehood.

TopGum

You might want to get checked out yourself. It’s either way too much alcohol or total denial for reality largely because of the shock you suffered seeing Ukraine’s nazi-army being obliterated like that.

Dibby

I hope to see that Ukrainian flag hanging the in background will soon be replaced with the Novorussiya or Russian ones when they secede from Ukraine.

Now it is a race to see who can swing their forces to the east faster. The maps for the next few days are going to look really sad for the Russians. Ukraine is regaining hundreds of square miles per day in 3-4 areas while the Russians will be measuring progress block-by-block in Mariupol and Izyum.

Great for the morale boost for the Ukrainians.

Ukraine has not enough men to do any harm now. Russia will be starting phase two now. Endgame for Zelensky. His begging for NATO or anyone to help was a failure too. No one wants to get in Russia’s way. Too afraid to end up like Zelensky.

Yuri

more than 25,000 injured ukrop soldiers in Slovak, polish, Hungarian hospitals…former Ukraine a delusion for US hillbillies

TopGum

Since 2014 Ukraine was already a huge financial burden for the West. Now it adds more pain than before. The West wanted to screw Russia and now they mostly screwed themself again. At least those people in the hospitals will se with whom they aligned themself exactly. They cannot hide the truth as easy as before.

Erny72

Mike, sad maps will be true for the Kiev spin-doctors at least for the next few days. Once redeployments are complete then all those well manned static defences in western Donbass will start being lit up with indirect fire, air assault and stand-off weapons. I suspect given the recent revelations of PoW mistreatment and claims of a disregard of the Geneva Conventions by Ukrainian leaders, what ever fraternity the Russian Army personnel felt for their Ukrainian counterparts has evaporated. So we’re looking at the flower of Ukrainian manhood being turned into pink mist over the next fortnight in Western Donbass. The more reinforcing Kiev can do between now and kick-off, the greater the loss to Ukraine in the aftermath. I submit yhat the world can look forward to partioning of Ukraine and the rebirth of Novarussia by summer. There will be some territorial gains in the west to Poland, Hungary and maybe even Romania and some territorial gains in the north to Belarus and Russia and once the dust settles Ukraine shall be reduced to a rump republic centred on Kiev or Vinnilsya, depending upon how far west their border migrates. New Ukraine will be neutral in theory but either vassal to Russia or the EU. It will struggle with a severe demographic decline unless they import a horde of young men from say, Somalia or Syria which I am sure will really impress the widows of Azov, S14, UPN, Svoboda et al. How hard would it have been for the clowns in Kiev to simply read and understand the provisions their predecessors agreed to in Minsk? Coulda, woulda, shoulda…

Cpt. Pervis

> How hard would it have been for the clowns in Kiev to simply read and understand the provisions their predecessors agreed to in Minsk? Coulda, woulda, shoulda…

I was watching those negotiations in horror half a year ago until Feb 24.

I don’t think Russia will go for such extensive border changes unless this conflict becomes very protracted (say past mid May). I think the best would be to quickly settle on recognition of Donbas, and a neutral buffer zone east of the Dnieper to prevent nationalist attacks against Donbass.

I don’t get it. Modern warfare is played like American football. Watch and learn.

I tried to post some well thought out information but it didn’t.

Please post where the Ukrainians are. Your site can be used to figure out Russian military plans.

Remember when USSR beat a well trained battle hardened military it took over 10,000,000 troops.

It took a lot more north preventing the bulk of German army from supporting Stalingrad… Operation Mars held them up.

Who the hell are you talking to?

RichardD

I agree with the conclusions drawn in the article. To which I would add that it looks like the Russian approach to the Ukraine war is to use limited resources and not to get over extended. Which is why they scaled back the Kiev area of operation. Rather than committing additional troops to the conflict at this time.

The in theater economic component is important. Even with the Kiev pull back. Russia is still on course to obtain control of 8 out of 10 of the largest cities and metropolitan areas in Ukraine. And most of the country’s economic base in the process.

Kyiv 2,797,553 Kharkiv 1,430,885 Dnipro 1,032,822 Donetsk 1,024,700 Odessa 1,001,558 Zaporizhia 796,217 Lviv 717,803 Kryvyi Rih 652,380 Mykolayiv 510,840 Mariupol 481,626

7 of the 10 largest cities and metropolitan areas in Ukraine are located within a 2 or 3 hundred mile radius of each other in the most densely populated Russian speaking area of Ukraine.

The more populous, the bigger guerrilla problems. Russian speaking population isn’t supporting Russia anymore.

Even Ukrainian people support Russia. They see only Russian troops supporting them with food and medicine. Where is Ukraine helping them? Most Ukrainian people know they are run by complete fascist criminals who sold them away long time ago. People also see that EU/US and NATO are not anyone’s friends. Their view already shifting towards Russia’s view. The fact remains that EU needs Russia to survive but Russia doesn’t need EU. They will decide to do business with Russia again, there is no other way. Maybe even they grow up and detach from US influence. Best scenario for humanity, US makes a big mistake and their governments gets wiped out by a quick military strike. That’s all it takes. If they see, that they not so great at all, they will understand not to bully anyone again.

I’m Canadian, but doesn’t mean I eat crazy western propaganda. Isn’t a whole lot of critical thinking there. If someone tells you jump off a bridge, do you do it? This like telling people to hate Russians. It’s nonsensical horseshit. What if tomorrow everyone was to hate Canada and sanction the shit out of us for not following their dictates?
