AlMasdarNews reports: The Russian and Syrian air forces resumed their aerial campaign over the Aleppo Governorate on Monday night, targeting several sites under the control of Jaysh Al-Fateh and Fatah Halab.
According to a military source, the Syrian and Russian air forces launched most of their airstrikes over the southern countryside of Aleppo, hitting several Jaysh Al-Fateh targets inside the villages of Khan Touman, Khalsah, Tal Al-‘Eis and Qarassi.
These airstrikes in southern Aleppo succored the Syrian Arab Army soldiers against Jaysh Al-Fateh, allowing them to drive the jihadist rebels back after a short battle.
In addition to the airstrikes over southern Aleppo, the Syrian and Russian air forces targeted the provincial capital’s northern districts, including Dahret ‘Abd Rabo, Al-Layramoun, and Bustan Al-Basha.
According to a field source in the provincial capital, the Syrian and Russian air forces conducted 100+ airstrikes over Aleppo tonight, marking the official end to the short-lived ceasefire.
