On November 2, Russian media reported that Syrian pilots along with members of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) conducted joint exercises at several Syrian airfields.
According to reports, the Su-24 aircrafts were used in the maneuvers, clarifying that the Su-24 fighters are still in service with the Syrian Air Forces and have been actively used in battles against various armed groups.
The training mainly aims at mastering the use of reconnaissance and intelligence tools especially handling data of satellites and reconnaissance drones.
The main training field was T-4 air base located in the eastern countryside of Homs.
At the same time, local sources in the town of Tall Tamr, located in the west of Al-Hasakah governorate, reported about Russian-Syrian maneuvers in the area and fighters flying near the front lines of the Turkish forces and Turkish-backed factions surrounding the town.
The sources indicated that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has deployed important military reinforcements to the area, including tanks, rockets launchers, field guns, logistic and military equipment, and soldiers. The deployment was carried out under the Russian air cover, amid the remaining threats of a Turkish military aggression in the area that could be carried out under the pretext of fighting the SDF.
Turkey has recently escalated the situation in northern Syria, threatening to target the towns of Tall Rifat and Manbij in Aleppo countryside, Ain Issa in Ar Raqqah, reaching Tall Tamr in Al-Hasakah, despite the ceasefire agreement with the Russians that was signed two years ago.
mi a fasz lesz, ha budapest kap egy atomot, ki a faszt érdekelne, ugysem mások csak egy ruszki bérenc púp a nato hátán, kapjátok be…
SUPER
Szerintem te kapd be, te nazi bérenc kretén.
The Syrian air force has haredened hangars for its warplanes. In Western Europe, I don’t think there’s even one country that has these and in an eventual war involving NATO, these planes would be sitting ducks. Just saying!
