Warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) carried out more than 108 airstrikes on Greater Idlib in the last 24 hours, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on June 20.
According to the London-based monitoring group, the Russian and Syrian airstrikes targeted more than 20 villages and towns in the northern and northwestern Hama countryside, as well as in the southern and eastern countryside of Idlib.
Step News, a pro-opposition outlet in Idlib, released two videos showing Su-22M4, Mig-23BN and L-39 warplanes of the SyAAF and a Su-35 warplane of the Russian Aerospace Forces carrying out airstrikes on northern Hama and southern Idlib.
A day earlier, the Russian Aerospace Forces and the SyAAF stepped up their aerial operations over Greater Idlib and targeted the outskirt of the governorate’s city center for the first time in three months.
These intense airstrikes indicate that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) may be planning to resume its ground operations in northern Hama and southern Idlib in the upcoming few days.
Very good move of Russia and Syria. The Syrian nation will eliminate all global terrorists in Syria now.
Without a ground offensive on Idlib, these attacks are just wasting of time, ammunitions and money since terrorists can reorganized, can get more weapons from Turkey, and can get more terrorists from different places and Turkey land.
The airstrikes don’t seem to be doing much of anything aside from turning Idlib into rubble. I really have to wonder who they are using for forward air controllers.
Did you forget that it was Russian airforce that turned this war around? Assad was going to loose without russian strikes……
Did you forget that it was letting the rebels escape to Idlib to fight another day is what caused this? They just delayed the innevitable showdown and now it is here with Turkey right behind them.
but Goverment forces were moving terrorists to Idlib in order to improve their contenporary tactical situation.
That is my point, it wasn’t the RuAF that improved their tactical situation, it was allowing the rebels to flee to Idlib that allowed SAA to take back most of the country. The hardest fighting is yet to come.

It’d be much better if all those airstrikes were conducted over northern Hama where the SAA are trying to advance.
