Special Forces units of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) have conducted a military exercise south of the country’s capital, Damascus.
RT released two videos on September 24 and 25 showing a part of the exercise, which was attended by senior Syrian and Russian officers.

According to the channel, the units which participated in the exercise were trained by Russian advisers. Syrian sources confirmed this, revealing that the units are a part of the elite 4th Division.
Recently, Syria and Russian special forces carried out a number of successful operations behind enemy lines in Greater Idlib. Dozens of militants, including prominent field commanders, were eliminated in these operations.
Most of the SAA Special Forces units were neutralized in the early years of the war. Now, with support from Russia, the army is rebuilding the Special Forces stronger than before.
