Tu-22M3 strategic bombers have flown back to their permanent base in the Kaluga Regoion from an airdrome in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania after completing a mission in Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry said on December 12.
“The crews of long-range bombers Tupolev-22M3 have flown back home from an airdrome in North Ossetia to their base in the Kaluga Region after successfully coping with their task to deliver air strikes against terrorist targets in Syria,” the Russian state-run news agency TASS quoted the ministry.
The Tu-22M3 strategic bombers actively particiapted in the final stage of an anti-ISIS operation of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies in eastern Syria. The bombers carried out multiple massive strikes on ISIS weapons depots, HQs and strong points in the Euphrates Valley.
A hero.
Just a quick question. When they saluted at 0.29, the captain does a sort of US salute, where the boss man seemed to do a more UK salute…. how do the Russians salute ?, as when I look it up, there is a real mix.
High ranking officers tend to be less strict when saluting (see also 0:50).
Global Heroes. Thankyou from Western Australia.
