On November 25, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces had carried out airstrikes on positions of militants who attacked the northern Syrian city of Aleppo with chemical weapons a day earlier.
According to the Russian MoD, intelligence services located the weapons that were used to launch the chemical attack within the demilitarized zone, which was established around the governorate of Idlib under the Russian-Turkish deconfliction agreement. Information collected by the Russian intelligence also revealed that the militants were planning to launch another chemical attack on Aleppo.
Syrian opposition sources confirmed that Russian warplanes conducted several airstrikes on the districts of Rashideen and Khan Tuman northwest of Aleppo. Both districts are controlled by the Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation (NFL).
More than one hundred civilians, including children, were reportedly intoxicated as a result of the chemical attack on Aleppo. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said that the attack was carried out with rockets containing chlorine gas.
The Russian airstrikes, which are the first since September, will likely deter the militants and force them to respect the deconfliction agreement.

Congratulations to the Russian air force for taking this immediate and justifiable action… I hope this sends a message to the US/Israel/NATO scourge that this type of heinous action against civilians in Aleppo will not be tolerated!!
A lot of threats seem to be winding up, Trump has largely failed and now I hear he might not be running again in 2 years, I think he could even quit before that and Pence is an even bigger amateur.
So there will because period of disarray that the armed opposition will be totally threatened by, which is why they felt the need to do this chemical attack.
They have nothing to lose, they reject safe haven in Turkey and SauduArabia never would offer them that, defeat seems inevitable and pride points to an honourable death.
The SAA is not helping by wanting to cozy up to the Kurds.

Oh, they are being waked! Thats why russia is winning and Syria is coloured RED! Losing Aleppo to Russia back in 2016 was huge! That was literally an extreme proxy conflict between Russia and the West! Guess who won that? Well u know already! U can be sure that Russian SF and Intels outsmarted and killed many Western counterparts in order to win that battle! Remember that after Aleppo, Turkey aligned with Russia! Turkstream was signed! That was the beginning of the end! So enjoy this thought; Russia was the better nation and is why they are winning the war! Still can’t tell us who’s responsible though, even though they’ve just been bombed in territory that the NLF control it doesn’t mean it was the NFL.

WHO WAS IT YOU MORONS, JUST SAY IT. They know the militants are planning another attack but still don’t say exactly who it is, WTF.
It was HTS probably, they most likely snuck in, [or were allowed in by sympathetic forces in the NFL] and launched the attack to make everyone believe it was the Turks proxies. I’ll eat my hat if it’s found in time to be any other rebel group other than HTS or one of it’s affiliates. I do think the CW is supplied to the Turks rebels via EU/coalition, and I also think they’ve been the ones guilty of using CW so far, but right now is the absolute worst time they could use them, and I don’t think that it is them this time, even if the attack was launched from NFL positions. I think either some sympathizers in the NFL gave some CW to HTS, or possibly HTS already had some, and it was HTS that most likely launched this attack. Erdogan is abandoning southern Idlib, he’s going to let the SAA and Russia have a green card and obliterate HTS there, I think they’re starting to realize it too, and this CW attack is their way of starting a war with the SAA before the Turks forces do leave, trying desperately to drag the Turk proxies into it as well.
Time to flatten Idlib as it is in dire need of urban renewal.
