Russian Warplanes Rain Hell On Militant Positions In Syria’s Greater Idlib (Videos)

Late on February 3, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a series of airstrikes on the northwestern region of Greater Idlib which is infested with terrorist groups.

According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the airstrikes targeted militants’ positions in the outskirts of the town of Armanaz in northwestern Idlib. No human losses have been reported, so far.

A day earlier, Russian warplanes carried out airstrikes on positions of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) near the town of Haranabush in the same region.

The airstrikes were likely a response to recent violations of the Greater Idlib ceasefire, which was brokered by Russian and Turkey on March 5 of last year.

Greater Idlib militants, led by HTS, violate the ceasefire on a regular basis. The militants carried out dozens of attacks against Syrian government forces over the last month.

The new wave of Russian airstrikes on Greater Idlib can also be a seen as a response to the MSM ongoing attempts to whitewash HTS and its terrorist leader Abu Mohamad al-Julani. Moscow stressed on several occasions that terrorists in Greater Idlib should be dealt with.

Russian Pest-Control….turn the Headchopping Vermin into fertilizer….

Icarus Tanović

Do you really believe that some guy nicknamed Al Julani is behind Al Nusra? Or that some random guy named Abu bakr Al Baghdadi is behind ISIS? Who are those people I don’t know, but I guess that Baghdadi is in some safe place in his villa in Florida. With other name, of course, unrecognizable without costumes and masks.

Hasbara Hunter

One thing for sure: a lot of Headchopping ZioNazi-Parasites were exterminated in the past couple of years & Murica became a big fuckn joke for everyone to see…War-Criminals always find a safehaven in Murica & ISraHell….

shylockracy

Putin’s business and partnership with the Ziocorporate terrorists going full speed ahead, the never-ending war that’ll go on forever as long as terrorist Ziojews, Turks and US filth bomb and invade Syria.

With luck Iran won’t get caught with Russia in these NWO cat and mouse games and won’t get bombed before developing full capabilities to wipe out the terrorists from the Middle East.

No matter what the problem, don’t excuse odummer, biden nor the nwo lgbtq (period)

Blas de Lezo

Lots of Zionist-Qaeda weapons just went up in the air.

Jens Holm

You dont know that. Those people live deep below ground and rest when they are bombarded, because they know the enemy soldiers is not there.

JIMI JAMES

there is breaking news right now… DAMASCUS HAS BEEN ATTACKED INVOLVING many casualities Israel has attacked killed scores of Hezbullah tonight right now. An hour ago!

Jesus

These air attacks should continue daily until HTS is weakened and susceptible to ground attacks in much weakened positions.

occupybacon

General, we are runing out if video tape!

Jens Holm

Very manipulative. Those Qaidas are not even allowed to negosiate anything. The Authors must think Russians, Turks and Assads has some patent for it.

Those 3 are same of a kind. They only demand and never make any sober conditions for the people living there. The reasons for the riots is never mentioned as well.

Lone Ranger

Condolences to fallen wahabimossad and CIAisis operators. May they rest in pieces…

This sounds like Russia intends to cement the current Idlib borders, so in five years we can still read:

On February 2, artillery of Turkish-backed forces shelled SAA positions in Idlib. On February 2, artillery of SAA-backed forces shelled Turkish positons

Willing Conscience (The Truths

“The new wave of Russian airstrikes on Greater Idlib can also be a seen as a response to the MSM ongoing attempts to whitewash HTS and its terrorist leader Abu Mohamad al-Julani. Moscow stressed on several occasions that terrorists in Greater Idlib should be dealt with.”

Wash your lying mouths out. In 2015 Russia, Iran, and Turkey drew up a new resolution and submitted it for UNSC approval, and resolution 2254 passed unanimously. And accordingly MOST of the Muslim Brotherhood [Al Qaeda] opposition forces were then ‘magically’ transformed into moderate opposition forces, and also included in the subsequent political solution. Which is sort of unbelievable to say the least, the Muslim Brotherhood has been Syria’s biggest enemy from the time Assad’s father was in charge, and young president Assad now says exactly the same thing his father used to say, “The Muslim Brotherhood is Syria’s biggest threat’. Look that up for yourselves if you find it hard to believe, Assad consistently says the Muslim Brotherhood is Syria’s greatest threat, and yet back in 2015 his allies Russia and Iran conspired with Turkey to allow the Muslim Brotherhood a legitimate voice in Syria’s political arena. But that same resolution rightly designated many of the groups that subsequently formed HTS as terrorists, and they weren’t included in the political process. But things have developed since then, HTS got rid of all the fanatical groups like Jaysh al-Sunna, Liwa al-Haqq, and Nour al-Din al-Zenki, they’ve also rejected Jihad and have been strictly observing the Russian/Turkish ceasefire agreement since March last year, and that’s despite the fact they weren’t even included in the agreement. And they’ve been cooperating with the Syrian Government too, trade, open border crossings and prisoner swaps, and just a few months ago they made propositions to the US and UN that they hoped would result in their inclusion in the political process, BUT THE US GAVE THEM A BIG FAT RESOUNDING NO. So why is this article claiming the MSM are whitewashing HTS when they’re not, they’re just simply telling us the truth, and that simple truth is the groups the Russian’s, Iranians and Turks designated as Terrorists, are now behaving more like moderate opposition forces [that should be included in the political process], but the groups they designated to be moderate opposition forces are acting more like terrorists [and should be banned from any future political process], THAT’S THE SIMPLE TRUTH. Russia keeps blaming HTS for attacks against the SAA they aren’t even involved in, they infer that HTS is somehow involved solely based on the fact HTS is allied to the moderate opposition NFL, and because the NFL and their allies like the moderate opposition FSA, SNA, SLF, are constantly attacking the SAA Russia must feel they’re allowed to dump them all in together. It must be embarrassing for Russia to see the people they call terrorists behaving like moderate opposition forces, especially when the people they call moderate opposition are behaving just like terrorists. These groups that the Russian’s, Iranians, and the Turks politically support through resolution 2254, the Syrian National Army [SNA], the National Front for Liberation [NFL], Free Syrian Army [FSA], the Syrian Liberation Front [SLF], are not moderate opposition forces at all, the Russians and Iranians got it wrong when they agreed to designate them as moderate, they’re anything but moderate, they’re the groups attacking the SAA and Russia all the time and don’t observe any ceasefires imposed on them, the SNA even attacked a Russian base in Al Hasakah about a month ago endangering Russian personnel,

2nd Jan, “The Nasr Army faction, one of the Free Syrian Army factions, destroyed a vehicle with an anti-armor missile on the Gurin front in the western Hama countryside”. – [faction of the NFL]

4th Jan, “A video showing the destruction by Jaysh al-Nasr, one of the Free Army factions, a 14.5 mm machine gun al-Assad on the axis of the town of al-Amaqiya in the al-Ghab Plain in the western Hama countryside, after being targeted by an ATGM”. – [faction of the NFL]

6th Jan, “Opposition groups targeted government fortifications in the village of Bahsa in Ghab Plain with artillery shells and rocket launchers”. – [probably NFL but not confirmed]

12th Jan, “Opposition factions target with Grad missiles the sites and gatherings of pro-Assad’s forces on the “Kurds Mountain” axes in the northern countryside of Latakia”. – [probably NFL but not confirmed]

15th Jan, “The Nasr Army faction, one of the Free Army factions, was able to repel an attempt by several groups of the Assad militia and the militias supporting them on the Al-Ankawi axis in the Al-Ghab Plain west of Hama. The militias were killed and wounded amid intense artillery and missile shelling on the axis by the militias in an attempt to pull their wounded”. – [faction of the NFL but this was a responsive action not an attack, I’m only including it because of the next report]

16th Jan, “The military factions bomb with heavy artillery the positions of the pro-Assad forces in the village of Hazarin in the southern countryside of Idlib”. – [probably NFL but not confirmed, possibly a response for the Russian attack the day earlier]

22nd Jan, “The opposition factions target with ATGM military vehicle of the pro-Assad forces on the Sarartoun axis in the western countryside of Aleppo”. – [probably FSA or possibly SNA]

27th Jan, “The fighting factions bomb with heavy artillery the positions of the government forces in the town of Kafr Batikh in the eastern Idlib countryside”. – [probably and most likely NFL but not confirmed]

31st Jan, “The opposition factions target the sites and gatherings of pro-Assad forces with missiles on the axes of Jabal Al-Zawiya in Idlib countryside”. – [probably NFL but also possibly Ansar al-Tawhid which is HTS affiliated]

4th Feb, “Artillery and missile bombardment between pro-Assad forces and the Syrian opposition forces on the axes of southeast Idlib, in conjunction with the flight of Russian reconnaissance aircraft over the sky of the region”.. – [probably and most likely NFL] ……..

And these are the only confirmed attacks by an HTS alliance member, not confirmed attacks by HTS itself, just an alliance member

6th Jan, “The Ansar al-Tawhid opposition group sniped three Syrian government soldiers in the western Aleppo countryside, northwest Syria, on Tuesday”.

30th Jan, “Ansar Al-Tawhid targeting the Syrian govt forces with their truck-mounted recoilless rifle today. Mallajah village axis, southern Idlib”.

Just 2 attacks in the same time period, so who’s more moderate?

The Objective

The reason that the Muslim brotherhood is the greatest threat to Assad (not Syria) is that they are the only ones that have the population to overthrow Assad democratically.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

If they get support from other minor opposition groups they might have a chance of winning power, but on their own they won’t be able to, even in Idlib/Aleppo the HTS Salvation Government would win against them, and in Al Hasakah the other opposition groups would outvote them too, perhaps Ar Raqqah might be a closer call but even there I’m not so sure they’d get enough support to be viable on their own, even in Darra and Quneitra the Brotherhood would be outvoted in preference to Arab League sponsored candidates, Latakia would vote Assad, and As Suwayda and Rif Dimashq would probably do the same, so don’t be over confident in your assumption. But even if the Brotherhood did manage to put together an alliance of minor parties and win a Parliamentary election [not a Presidential], they’d still have a big problem controlling them all. Just look at how devisive they are in Idlib and Aleppo, and that’s while they’re all supposed to be allied together and fighting against Assad, so I don’t think they’ll magically become more cooperative after the hostilities end and there’s no reason for them to be allied anymore, they’ll just behave the same way they have been or get even worse. And what will the Brotherhood do with the Chechens and Uighurs and other Jihadists if they win power, will they have a place in Syria after the next election, they’re not included in the political process but they’re loyal Brotherhood supporters, what do you think the Brotherhood will do about them?

The Objective

More than 90% of Sunnis are Muslim Brotherhood sympathizers. In short, lets quite talking about Muslim Brotherhood and focus on Sunnis instead. Whichever Sunni Muslim that wins in Syria will develop close ties to Turkey, whether they are HTS, Alqaeda, etc. The millions of Syrians sheltering in Turkey will never forget that favor.

The biggest threat to Assad (not Syria) is SUNNIS not MB. He refers to them as MB to avoid mentioning Sunni. These are the people Iran is fighting.

A Sunni president in Syria is just unacceptable to Assad and his allies, no matter which group that Sunni president hails from.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

I think it’s more like 40% of the Syrian Sunni population are Brotherhood loyalists, and that’s predominantly in the Sunni Turkmen population, the Sunni Arab population are more inclined to be Baathist’s or have other preference’s, and apart from the SNC most Kurds are totally opposed to any sort of cooperation with Turkey [they’re Sunnis too remember apart from the Yazidis]. So only half the Sunni population at best will support MB candidates, and since the Sunnis only make up about 80% of the population, that means only 40% of the population [at most] will be voting for the MB, the Christians, Druze, Orthodox Shia, Alawites won’t be voting for MB candidates. HTS won’t turn towards Turkey, they’ll turn to the Arab League countries like Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE ect, and so will the Southern Front Alliance in southern Syria. Iran didn’t fight the MB very much at all between mid 2018 and late 2019, but then they made up for it during the Aleppo campaign, but between those 2 dates the Brotherhood actually had some of there fighters training in Iran, they were actually cooperating together, they weren’t fighting each other. I keep telling you the Brotherhood wants to unite both Shia and Sunni under one grand caliphate, that’s one of their stated goals, I’m sure you must have seen what they have to say about somewhere.
