On February 28 afternoon, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) carried out a series of airstrikes on militants’ positions and equipment in Saraqib city in southern Idlib.
According to opposition sources, the airstrikes were focused on the city center of Saraqib and the nearby town of Afis and Tronba.
Iba’a, the news network of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), shared a video showing some of the Russian airstrikes on Saraqib. Nevertheless, the network didn’t reveal the results of the airstrikes.
HTS and the National Front for Liberation (NFL) captured Saraqib city a day earlier. The Turkish military provided the militants with heavy weapons and targeted Syrian Arab Army (SAA) forces in the city and its outskirt with artillery and armed drones.
Now, the SAA is reportedly amassing its troops around Saraqib and preparing to launch a large attack to recapture the city. The intense Russian airstrikes on the city indicate that the attack may begin very soon.

You then comment on an action, which is hearsay at best…………. cos’ I have looked for this action, and its not confirmed by any noteworthy intel website, and opine that the SAA is incompetent and useless……………. I have been observing this war for years now and I cannot remain silent anymore. The anger inside me is boiling when I see what is happening in these last days in Syria. What I see is a final and crystal clear picture of what kind of a man Putin really is. As I am writing this Turkey is attacking Syrian soldiers en masse without any reaction from the Russian side, because Putin wont allowit!
They are using combat drones in closed?!! syrian airspace freely – no air defense is firing, no russian fighters are intercepting, the poor soldiers are getting slaughtered, long range missiles are coming from Turkey and S300/400 is silent!!!! Where is the ballistic defense, where is air cover what the fuck is happening?
This open turkish aggression is happening for more than 2 weeks now and no fucking response from the weak and pathetic Putin Zio pig!
