In the morning of April 3, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a series of airstrikes on terrorist positions in the southern Idlib countryside.
The pro-opposition news outlet, Enab Baladi, said that the Russian airstrikes targeted the strategic hill of Nabi Ayoub, which is located within the region of Jabal Zawiya. The outlet’s reporter confirmed that no civilians were injured or killed in the airstrikes.
Earlier this year, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the former branch of al-Qaeda in Syria, imposed full control of Jabal Zawiya following a short battle with Turkish-backed militants, that lost their last positions in the region.
The April 3 strike was the first aerial attack on Idlib terrorists since March 22. Back then, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted a series of airstrikes on the occupied towns of al-Fu’ah and Kafriya in eastern Idlib.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia has not commented on this new round of airstrikes so far. However, local observers believe that the aerial attack was a response to new violations of the Russian-Turkish demilitarized zone agreement by miltiants.
In both vids interesting how long blast sound takes to travel to camera mics – and in second vid the accompanying shock wave is clearly visible in shuddering movement of overhanging olive tree branches.
The sonic speed is about 343 meters per second. Numbering second from the blust to the sound reaches the operator you can calculate how far he was from the blast.
The Russians are the key air force blasting the terrorists into Kingdom Come! Well done RuAF for doing the work the West was and is avoiding doing to their mercenary army in the ME; i.e., ISIS and HTS.
The fact that the videos of the sudden attacks were made, suggests that those who filmed them knew of an impending attack , in my opinion.

So much for the de escalation arrangement between Turkey and Russia, the SAA don’t abide by it in any way shape or form, and the Russians aren’t that much better when it comes to strictly adhering to the arrangement, in fact the only party that has really tried to adhere to the arrangement from the beginning of the new round of talks, is the rebel force HTS. I noticed that initially HTS didn’t break the new arrangement, during February they even put up with some artillery strikes from the SAA without retaliating, so they at least tried to abide by the Erdogan brokered arrangement. But the Turkish backed factions have been attacking the SAA without a break since January, and they still haven’t stopped, they’ve in fact done the opposite and escalated the fighting, so much for Erdogan’s well behaved proxies, they actually make HTS look like the more moderate rebels. Today April 4, the Syrialiveuamap is lit up like a christmas tree in Idlib, the SAA and the Russians are showing us all just what they really think of Erdogan’s de escalation agreement, and Assad who hasn’t agreed to anything with Erdogan, isn’t really obliged to abide by the agreement anyway, that’s only between Putin and Erdogan. But what I keep wondering is this, how the hell are the SAA and the Russians managing to miss all the Turkish patrols that are currently roaming around Idlib, considering all the numerous artillery and airstrikes they’re inflicting on the area right amongst the Turkish patrols, and so far, they haven’t even hit one Turk yet, they must be really good gunners. Or are they really missing the Turks completely everytime time, maybe sometimes they do hit one or two Turks, or sometimes three or four, or maybe even more, who knows. No new Turkish casualty figures since March last year, but when we finally get the current data from someone, it may actually show us the SAA has been killing a few Turks too, alongside the rebel scum they’re protecting.
