The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies continue to launch attacks against ISIS remnants in the country’s central region.

On October 27, the SAA and pro-government forces shelled ISIS terrorists and their hideouts in the western Deir Ezzor desert from their positions in al-Hamadan Airport in the outskirt of the city of al-Bukamal.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the artillery strikes were carried out to support a new operation targeting ISIS cells in western Deir Ezzor.

The London-based monitoring group also reported a new series of Russian and Syrian airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in eastern Hama. A heated battle between the SAA and ISIS broke out in the region last week.

The airstrikes were reportedly carried out by 24 warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces and four Syrian military helicopters.

The recent battle in eastern Hama claimed the lives of 39 Syrian soldiers and 22 terrorists. There is still on information on the human losses in western Deir Ezzor.

The SAA and its allies stepped up their operations in central Syria in the last few weeks in an effort to prevent ISIS terrorists from expanding their influence in the region. As for now, the terrorists remain contained within the Homs desert.

ISIS workforce is going to work to Western Deir Ezzor. SAA + Russia says ISIS workforce cannot go to work to Western Deir Ezzor.

People keep saying they are in the Homs desert, how does a fighting force exist in the middle of a bloody desert without being located?

Stop asking logical questions, you’ll disrupt the narrative.

The SAA, with russian help, probably know where all these groups are and for now are just containing them to the areas they occupy. Idlib and the north is more of a priority than small gangs of terrorists hiding out in the desert who are going nowhere, with or without US/nato help.

When Idlib is liberated, it will be game over and the remaining gangs in the desert will most probably run for the borders.

Quite simply, it is a huge area where almost no one lives.
