The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies continue to target militants in the northwestern region of Greater Idlib in response to ceasefire violations.
Late on March 5, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a series of airstrikes against headquarters of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the de-facto ruler of the region, near the town of Bsanqul in the southwestern countryside of Idlib. Video footage of the airstrikes were posted to social media on March 6.
Two other videos showing recent FPV drone strikes against militants and equipment of HTS surfaced online on March 7. The strikes were carried out by the SAA.
In recent weeks, HTS and its allies stepped up attacks from Greater Idlib on nearby government-held areas in violation of a ceasefire agreement that was brokered by Russia and Turkey more than three years ago.
On March 7, the Syrian Ministry of Defense said that the SAA killed several militants and captured another while repelling an attack that targeted one of its positions in the southern Idlib countryside. Syrian air defenses also shot down a fixed-wing suicide drone and a small quadcopter used for reconnaissance over the region.

Overall, the situation in Greater Idlib remains unstable. Despite this, the SAA and its allies will not likely launch a ground operation in the region any time soon as this could lead to a dangerous confrontation with Turkey who maintains large forces there.
The SAA is now focusing its attention on its south front as Israel continues its war on the Palestinian Gaza Strip and makes more threats against Syria’s top ally in Lebanon, Hezbollah. Meanwhile, the Russian military is intensifying its operations against Kiev forces in Ukraine.

time for saa and russia to prepare asap a large sale offensive to fully liberate idlib and defeat all terrorist to the last, than this cia project in syria is over and they will be forced to leave al tanf and the eastern kurd occupied parts of syria.

the second video was a miss. the left side guy jumped out into the bushes. maybe the driver caught some shrapnell or concussion. but better aim would be nice. the thing seemed to drift a lot.
