Russians Got Trophy After Recent Incident With US Submarine

The photo allegedly shows the U.S. submarine simulator

Following the recent collision with a submarine of the US Navy in the territorial waters of the Russian Federation near Urup Island of the Kuril Ridge, the Russian military received U.S equipment at their disposal.

On February 16, the Russian media reported that, a few miles from the Russian island of Urup, Russian sailors discovered a submarine simulator that was launched by the U.S. Virginia-class submarine on February 12.

The U.S. submarine used a self-propelled simulator to split targets on radar and acoustic monitoring equipment and left the territorial waters of the Russian Federation at maximum speed.

After imitating the course of the submarine, the device sank not far from the Russian island of Urup. According to some reports, the simulator surfaced and was discovered by the Russian military.

According to Russian experts, the U.S. technology of the self-propelled simulator is not new, but some parts of this equipment may allow Russian specialists to improve their simulators and modernize sonar systems for more accurate identification of underwater targets.

S2 u-toob channel also confirmed it’s russian counter EW. Think deeper if this is true it would not be on the beach but on a recovery vessel. Avia-pro.net looks everyday like grade school reporting.

I wouldn’t have bothered to look at it if I knew the source was Avia-pro. Their news section used to be great but since 2016 or so it became like +50% BS and fake news.

Dave

Now this is embarrassing SF. And anyway… “this equipment may allow Russian specialists to improve their simulators and modernize sonar systems for more accurate identification of underwater targets.” I hope Russian specialists can do it anyway… typical attempt on fake propaganda that backfires.

oracle

Invite China to come and examine it as well.

kiev

sure they will

Donald Moore

Well I guess the US will have to boost the Military budget again to rework or make a new version of this!
