Russia’s defense giant Kalashnikov set up a new drone manufacturing unit and is planning to increase production several fold, the group’s President Alan Lushnikov announced on March 28, according to the TASS news agency.
“We have set up a division of unmanned aerial vehicles. We have consolidated all of our capacities on their development and production and are expanding output several-fold,” Lushnikov said.
The new unit will produce ground-based drone launch and control capabilities and all that is necessary for the effective operation of unmanned aerial vehicles, Kalashnikov president added.
Kalashnikov’s main drone division, the ZALA Aero Group, produces several advanced systems, including the ZALA 421-16 series of tactical reconnaissance drones and the Lancet loitering munition.
The ZALA 421-16ЕM, which has an endurance of 2,5 hours and an operational range of 25-50 kilometers, and the larger ZALA 421-16Е2, which has an endurance of over four hours and and operational range of 30 kilometers, are already being mass produced for the Russian military. Both versions can be equipped with high-definition electro-optical reconnaissance systems.
The company also mass produces two versions of the Lancet, the Izdeliye-52 with an endurance of 30 minutes and a one-kilogram warhead and the larger Izdeliye-51 that has an endurance of 40 minutes and is armed with a warhead weighting three kilograms. Both versions are equipped with an electro-optical targeting system that can detect, track and lock on static and moving targets.
The drones produced by Kalashnikov have been playing a key role in the ongoing Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
ZALA 421-16 series drones penetrate Ukrainian air defenses to conduct intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance missions behind the frontline on a daily basis. On the other hand, Lancet loitering munitions have scored more than 280 hits against weapons and military equipment of Kiev forces since the start of the special operation.
lancet loitering ammo drones scored only 280 successes in a year? question: how many was launched in total?
depends on what was hit, 80 air defences is a big blow
that’s nonsense.
last year only few, the most this year and actually at some 2-3 a day. russia is boosting theyr production, so the daily actions will rise constantly for sure and than the situation will get worse for ukros, because theyr western supporters will not be able to send as much heawy armament than russia will be able to destroy.
why do you cry babies try to make up bs lies about russian weapons ? these drones are mega deadly, and have created a major problem for the nazi fucktards, these drones are fucking the nato fucks to hell, so eat shit you loser. ukraine is finished, dead man walking,
x> 280 is referring to the zala 421-16 category. when you consider the other classes of drones being used is significant. russia didn’t start using drones in large number until the latter half of last year. there are other drone types used. a sweed source claimed russia has carried out over 1500 drone strikes & nato sources putting the number just shy of that. if you believe ukriane then russia has attempted 10,000 drone strikes and a million missile strikes which they all shot down.
what we see is the excellence of russian innovation.
what we see from hato is a propaganda war that utilises trannies and other perverts who are engaged in cyber warfare. the thick brits in 77 brigade and their global terrorist proxies are soon to be consigned to the ash pit of history.
you need lancet drone with even bigger warhead. for the tanks.
stroller , mini – maxi , 10kg- 100kg tnt
the lancet is sufficient to penetrate the top armour of most tanks without issue. it doesn’t destroy the tank outright but will most likely kill or severely wound the crew within.. additionally newer models are having more advanced shape charged warheads on the munitions. there is already a heavier model of the drone, though it has been used only on a handful of occasions. perhaps we will see more of it when the western wonder armour reaches the contact lines.
good news.
my question about how many lancets were launched, is to establish a percentage of the hits it made. you can’t rate something success on no definite parameters.
give it up douche, your bs talking point is mute. your argument is as imbicillic as you are. ukraine had the shit kicked out of it, by russia and russia’s superior weapons and tactics. a simple fact you cannot deny.
obviously, you need to calculate costs of launches vs equipment totally destroyed and not only damaged, but repairable.
ok the point is however , the west claims on regular basis , russia is out of missiles , so – if it were only a few pieces of loitering munition which caused this damage , it speaks for the russian military advance (they are beating nato with chips from refrigerators etc) – if there was much of these weapons in action , so russia could have not gone out of missiles so far. in both cases it proves the lies and brainwashing of the propaganda
of all the drones, witch is familiare, the lancet is one scary piece of weapon, and briliant in its simplisity, witch dont mean is bad or flawed design, it means to max out what you can do with little/smal units. with drones you can reshape the attack forces, or incl it to existing systems as a tank is. wars are always ends up as done on the ground, you will always need infantery.
saw videos where the new ‘net’s around artillery does not work. the lancet goes through on the side with no net or seems to crash right through and still blow up the artillery.
10kg tnt against each leo!
these beautiful birds of freedom will flock to palestine when the season comes, and come it will.
what happen to the iranian loitering ammo? do the russian military still use it?
the iranian drone, shahed 136, has a different use case, it has a much longer range and targets a fixed location. it uses inertial guidance or gps. it is a fire and forget weapon. the russian lancet drone is shorter range and is under operator control with a camera link for more fine tuned targeting.
to answer your question, russia is still using something like the shahed. i don’t know if they get it directly from iran or they build it under license from iran.
drone against leo will be needed soon
