Russia's "Harsh Response" To US: You Are Not My Friend Anymore

On April 27th, in response to all the sanctions, harsh rhetoric, diplomatic expulsions and threats, Russia’s Channel 1 released a list of “unfriendly countries”.

Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced over the weekend that the U.S. would be on the list following a presidential decree on April 23rd.

Also named were: Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Czech Republic, Estonia, United Kingdom and Georgia. Another screen grab from Channel 1, circulating on social media, also showed Australia in the group.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters the list had not been finalized, and that he was “unaware, if there is something regarding the deadlines.”

The list appears to be mostly symbolic and the consequences of being included on it are limited to Russian citizens being banned from working in diplomatic missions on Russian soil, Izvestia reported.

State Duma Committee member Oleg Shein told the paper that the notable absentees—Germany and France, were left off despite their frequent criticism of Russia.

This was because Moscow considered they were sufficiently independent from the US and as such, “they are a negotiating party for us,” Shein said.

The list was generally regarded as a joke.

Lithuania’s ex-foreign minister Linas Linkevicius tweeted:

The Russian newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets expressed some optimism about what a summit might bring achieve in an op-ed which said that the Kremlin’s sanctions of the U.S. was “symbolic” and showed that Putin “had heard and accepted Biden’s proposal to de-escalate relations.”

It also said that Putin considers “direct dialogue with Biden to be more important and useful than the chance for posturing.”

Putin’s speech to the Federal Assembly earlier in April was generally empty rhetoric and about the wishes of the people to live in peace, similar to Biden’s empty rhetoric prior.

However, US President Joe Biden turned around and sanctioned Russia, and in response Moscow simply added it to an “unfriendly” countries list and forbade Russian citizens from working in its embassies and consulates.

There is constant referral to “red lines” and such, but they keep being pushed back.

Additionally, two employees of the Lithuanian embassy, three of Slovakia, as well as one employee of the diplomatic missions of Latvia and Estonia each must leave Russia within a week, the Foreign Ministry said.

Moscow lodged a strong protest with the representatives of these countries. Earlier, they declared several Russians persona non grata out of solidarity with the Czech Republic.

Similar measures have also been taken by the United States, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Poland, and Romania.

There is a serious crisis in relations between Moscow and Prague: the parties have expelled dozens of people after the Czech authorities accused Russia of involvement in the explosions at an arms depot in Vrbetica in 2014.

In some cases, the expulsion became part of the sanctions policy, in others, there were accusations of espionage, in others, the departments referred to the Vienna Convention, which allows not to name the reason.

CIA thinks doing the same things will make them great. Lol. It got you here. Made the USA a second class country with 3rd world infrastructure.

shylockracy

Putin’s Zioterrorist globalist business partners existed before the CIA existed, even before the US was released by France.

They know this well at the CIA and they’ll keep scheming anti-Russian schemes as long as they know Putin won’t really cut ties with them to save Russian/Zioligarch business ties to German Zioterrorists and the rest of the West through Germany.

John Tosh

It’s not about Jews. It’s about a bankrupt system that wants to print wealth instead of earning wealth. China put its people to work, today my TV in Texas says “made in China”

That is how a country grows. The West are high end consumers of goods they cannot produce. Not even Agriculture. Have you tried cooking western chicken without seasoning? It tastes like bubble gum. Now try cooking a regular chicken from a 3rd world country without seasoning.

This is why the Western world has so many patients with Alzheimer’s. Covid was supposed to kill off all those patients but Russia came up with a good vaccine !

Back to square one!!! Lol

It is not Russia the real problem of these nations, but their governments that are dragging them to ruin, war or not war the destiny of the West is already decided, and even if the fake media hide the real situation of Western countries, facts are known, and western populations are learning them over their skin.

Supreme Blyat

Russia should make a Muppets show, representing each of these countries.

John Tosh

similar to the “freedom” I enjoy today in the USA!

Supreme Blyat

Nothning compares to Russian freedom. Only Nord Korea has more freedom.

John Tosh

No one cares about your so called freedom. It’s all about money. The USA was rich so people came to the USA to become rich. Now China is rich so people are heading to China to become rich.

There is no real freedom in a CIA infested country. It’s all about doing better. This is why the USA only gets people from shithole countries. You do not see rich people moving into the USA from relatively wealthy countries.

Forget the freedom mantra it is fake everybody knows this and no one cares.

Supreme Blyat

There are different levels of freedom. But for Stalinists I know it’s all equal to 0. Btw are you heading to China to get rich?

Tommy, did you write this?

thomas malthaus

“The list was generally regarded as a joke.” I’m still looking for a South Front article that’s not anonymous.

As to the above-named countries, I consider it as safe assumption they’ll no longer have diplomatic missions and severely curtailed NATO spying networks throughout Russia within weeks.

Western analysts don’t fully appreciate the geopolitical and economic implications of recent meetings involving Russia, China, and Iran. I think Joe Biden is beginning too, which may or may not be ominous for us all.

Should the Putin-Biden meeting be held, Biden will realize the US has few reliable legs to stand on. As with a potential Zelensky meeting, they’ll both attempt to save face or gain a false public power advantage.

If there’s a God, he hasn’t looked in admiration on the decades-long global actions of American and to a lesser extent, Ukraine. When it all hits the fan within three years, Russia, China, and Iran likely won’t be there for the US, Ukraine, and a few dozen other nations.

Something about karma. . . .

John Tosh

The G7 countries controlled by the intelligence agency CIA controlled the earth for many years. Under such control we got what we got today. That system is coming to an end.

Tommy Jensen

Eastern analysts dont fully understand the implications of our US Space Force Command Centre. We have ALL the reliable legs to stand on we need…………………………………LOL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eCAphdQPck

Fog of War

Dont be so dimissive. This is from 2015 .

” Mr. McKinnon, who breached the security defences of NASA and US military networks between February 2001 and March 2002, said that he found a document entitled “non-terrestrial officers”.

This excel sheet, he explained, had the ranks and names of unknown individuals. Furthermore, Mr. McKinnon went on to say, another sheet had tabs for “material transfers between ships”.

When he tried to search for the names of the ships – approximately eight to 10 in total – he was unable to come across anything that mentioned them (at least in public), reinforcing his assessment that these were part of a covert and non-terrestrial US initiative.

“It wasn’t a standard thing in the military at all, so I took that to be that they must have a secret space-based [program],” he noted, although he conceded it was open to interpretation that it could be another term for astronauts. ”

Or it could be someone’s starwars science fiction movie transcripts!

Fog of War

I doubt it. Look up McKinnon and how hard the US intelligence establishment went after him.

John Tosh

It is not true. My friends would have told me

Ivan Freely

There’s a strong possibility the document was bait.

Peter Jennings

It could well have been a rabbit hole to a cul-de-sac. Then they nicked him and made the British gov’t ignore all his rights as a British citizen.

McKinnon was downloading when we all used modems. Pages and downloads took ages to load and complete. He was doing this for weeks if not months and was only caught when a staff member saw a mouse move on an unused terminal as they passed by. The pentagon is full of horse shit.

No way Ukraine is useless. The only reason the CIA was initially interested in Ukraine was the Black Sea. Crimea. Russia saw it and removed the jewel from the USA takeover of Ukraine.

Ukraine will have another revolution in the future. All CIA agents and CIA installed Ukrainian officials will be toppled.

By expelling diplomats West wants to portray Russia as ‘enemy of humanity’ Moscow’s UN envoy says, warning ‘it takes two to tango’ 29 Apr, 2021 17:50 Get short URL By expelling diplomats West wants to portray Russia as ‘enemy of humanity’ Moscow’s UN envoy says, warning ‘it takes two to tango’ View of the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on Smolenskaya-Sennaya Square. © Sputnik / Alexey Maishev; (inset) Dmitry Polyanskiy © REUTERS / Carlo Allegri 12 Follow RT onRT By Gabriel Gavin, in Moscow

Recent decisions by the US and its allies across Europe to ban dozens of Russian embassy staff from their capitals come as part of a concerted campaign to isolate the country, one of Moscow’s most senior diplomats has told RT. Taking questions from reporters on Thursday, Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia’s First Deputy Permanent Representative at the United Nations, said that he was concerned about worsening diplomatic relations with Western states, but that Moscow was ready to respond to escalations in kind.

Citing a popular Russian proverb, the envoy claimed that the state of affairs was spiraling further than previously thought possible. “We thought that we had reached the bottom,” Polyanskiy said, “but then somebody knocked from below. And that really is the situation – we thought we were at the lowest point but it seems that our Western colleagues and partners have a lot of other instruments in their toolbox to try to expose Russia [and its purported] malign behavior, its role as an enemy of humanity, as a rogue state or whatever.”

ALSO ON RT.COM US imposes new sanctions against Russia, expels ten diplomats & targets national debt in move Moscow may view as major escalation Two weeks ago, Washington announced it would expel ten diplomats as part of its response to its claims that Moscow interfered in the 2020 American presidential elections and was behind the colossal SolarWinds cyber-espionage case. The Kremlin has denied both sets of allegations, and declared the same number of US envoys as persona non grata. Other countries have followed suit, with the Czech Republic barring 18 Russians from the country over disputed suggestions Moscow’s special services were behind a 2014 explosion at an ammunition depot. Poland, Bulgaria and the Baltic states have since ordered similar expulsions in a show of support.

Polyanskiy said this amounted to a “strange month” for diplomacy, and that he had been “surprised by the actions of some of the US’ henchmen in Europe” who had made the moves “to show their loyalty to their patron.”

In the case of the Czech Republic, he said, “the country itself cannot understand what has happened… there is no proof, there are no facts.” Prague is now consumed by a debate over the events of the 2014 blast, with the row dragging in the country’s president, who questioned whether there was a sufficient basis to blame it on Russian spies. A group of senators are now reportedly considering bringing a constitutional case against him for “high treason” over the comments.

ALSO ON RT.COM Czech senators mull lawsuit accusing President Milos Zeman of HIGH TREASON, after he cast doubt on Russian role in 2014 ammo blast In response, Moscow ordered 20 Czech diplomats to leave the capital, two more than Prague had targeted. The Central European nation said that the response was “stronger than expected” and called on other Western states to follow suit and send diplomats home. Polyanskiy, however, said that the numbers involved in the tit-for-tat moves were not relevant, only “attitude and the intention.” With their approach, he claimed, “the Czech Republic and some other countries clearly showed to us that they have no intention to develop bilateral relations with Russia on a goodwill basis.”

“Again, it takes two to tango and if the Czech Republic wants to diminish our relations to zero we will follow suit,” he added.

At a press conference earlier this month, President Vladimir Putin warned that Russian responses to potential threats would not necessarily be proportionate. “We don’t want to burn bridges,” he said. “But, if someone sees our good intentions as indifference or weakness, and they want to burn the bridges, or even blow up the bridges, they should remember this: Russia’s response will be asymmetric, swift, and tough.”

The Czech Republic has said that if its diplomats are not returned to Moscow by the end of May, it could order as many as 22 Russian envoys and 48 support staff to leave the country, bringing the staffing levels of the two missions into parity.

ALSO ON RT.COM Czech Republic set to order all but 5 of Russia’s diplomats out of country in escalating tit-for-tat over spying & sabotage claims Polyanskiy pointed out on Thursday that Russian personnel numbers were higher because its embassies do not employ foreign citizens locally. He said that these staff would potentially be included in any reciprocal cuts. “We’ll see how we will tackle parity and how many people will be left from the Czech Embassy and who will clean their floors after all the supporting staff have left.”

Just close all the EU and US embassies until they decide that in order to have peace, a more civilized approach to diplomacy has to happen. Get your people back home, sit back and watch them squirm. Abandon all arms non-proliferation treaties, send the same amount of “defensive” weapons to East Ukraine and Iran, bring all you have down to Black sea and inform them nothing about these things. Let them find out using their satellites. Let them guess, let them scream bloody murder … let them stop Nord Stream 2. All this will just increase their discomfort.

Russia should pull out from SWIFT by itself now before a war occurs. The next German party (the Greens) might use the expelling from SWIFT as an excuse to stop buying gas from Russia.

The downfall of many states and economies is based on the following. In the West, they only know about partners, over whom they make a profit. Everyone else is an opponent. Wake up.

They find themselves in the biggest crisis since WW2 to date. What they are doing is hiding what is happening in EU countries. Look at the crises in the UK, the Netherlands, France, Spain and all other countries. And what else to expect when they are led by opponents of Europe who work for the interests of the USA. Rents in Europe have crossed the red line, and when that happens with energy for households and food, there will be an explosion.

It is time for Russia to go back behind an iron curtain, the Western world refuses to acknowledge Russia and so Russia must stop acknowledging them but only those countries that are not Western and who are not biased in their approach to Russia!
