The news agency TASS reports (source):
Russia’s Pacific Fleet will soon get six diesel-electric submarines, eight corvettes and also a destroyer, nuclear-powered subs and small missile ships armed with cruise missiles, Pacific Fleet Commander Admiral Sergei Avakyants said in an interview with the Defense Ministry’s newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda on Wednesday.
“Until the end of 2018, we are planning to accept the Project 20380 corvette Gromky for service. This is the second corvette of this Project specially built for the Pacific Fleet under the rearmament program,” the admiral said. The warship is currently at the final stage of shipbuilders’ sea and state trials. The naval flag will be hoisted aboard the corvette in late December, the Pacific Fleet commander said.
Next year, the Pacific Fleet will be reinforced with the Project 20385 corvette Gremyashchiy. The crew has already taken its place on the warship whose construction is nearing completion in a planned manner, he noted.
“This ship is the first carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles for the Pacific Fleet and the personnel were trained taking into account this factor. Overall, let me repeat, we expect to get 8 such corvettes from the industry,” the admiral said.
The Shipyard in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the Russian Far East will build four Project 22800 small missile ships armed with Kalibr and Oniks cruise missiles for the Pacific Fleet. The large anti-submarine warfare ship Marshall Shaposhnikov will also get the strike missile complex during its modernization.
The Pacific Fleet is also reinforcing its submarine component. Thus, the Fleet will get six newest Project 636.3 diesel-electric submarines, the first of which is due to join the Fleet already in 2019. Also, modernization continues to arm Project 949A nuclear-powered underwater missile cruisers with Kalibr cruise missiles, the commander said.
Queue up stories about …. there hasn’t been this much Russian naval activity since the Cold War, meanwhile the U.S. fleet has declined from 500 ships to 285 ships.
The part they leave out was that in the 1990’s, Russian naval assets and patrols went to virtually 0, so any build up whatsoever is doing to be ‘not since the Cold War …’
Oh well, at least the Russians have found a way to bankrupt the U.S. Our Pentagon will get the $1T face value budget yet. Maybe they will throw a party and invite us.
You should also look at the Chinese military production, especially of war ships (inc. Submarines).

He can’t sleep anymore
In addition to the potential planned provocation in Transnistria, there was a planned provocation recently foiled against a Russian interest (unknown, but rumours are an advanced signals / spy station) in Venuzela.
This is apparently the real reason the Swans were sent – along with an underwater vessel which let those who were watching know it was nearby but without giving its exact position away.
Both the sub and the swans can deploy advanced conventional tipped cruise missiles, not just big radioactive types, so as the Russian stations appear to be intact, the message was received.
Russia has constructed several signals / spy / EW stations throughout South America in the last decade, and has now shown it can protect them.
However, back over in Ukraine (or rather MOLDOVA) things dont look good:
A report coming in from MOLDOVA (dated 10 Decemeber 2018) is that British Special Forces and another small group of unknown designation (Intel operatives? tech team? Contractors?) have been seen deployed on the South Western Ukrainian border region.
It is widely known that US already has ‘Advisors’ actually inside Moldova who watch Russian movements inside Transnistria.
Suspicion is that some sort of operation inside this Pro-Russian break-away region of Moldova known as Transnistria has been planned and is due to take place in the next few days.
Over 1500 Russian service personnel are believed to be currently stationed in Transnistria, ostensibly to prevent the massacre of ethnic Russians and Pro-Russian separatists at the hands of Moldovans and Ukrainians (and the subsquent crushing of this semi-independent break away ex-soviet state).
It is widely known that both Moldolva and Ukraine do not want any Russian presence on thier borders have taken action, short of an actual seige, to make life in land-locked Transnistria as difficult as possible.
A provocation to force Russian reinforcement of the region, perhaps even actual military support action, has been suggested. This may be timed or coordinated with other actions to appear (through MSM lenses) that the Russians are showing agression and attemting to seize / occupy more territory around Ukraine.
The more such leaks are discussed the less likely such action is to take place (such as the planned False Flag attacks foiled in November, and the current planned Chemical attack in Mauriopol).
URGENT! Ukranian forces with British ‘Advisors’ spotted moving on the T1625 just 1km away from the Kuchurgan Power Plant in Transnistria. Another group spotted just 3km from Cobasna! This may be nothing more than a deliberate attempt to spook the Russians, but when considered alongside recent reports of a planned provocation in Transnistria, these sightings could be very significant. By the way, for those who have no idea of the significance of Cobasna, perhaps this will be a wake up: https://www.moldova.org/en/former-commander-national-army-uncontrolled-explosion-ammunition-transnistria-may-equivalent-hiroshima-explosion/
When Warsaw pact was disassembled, most of military equipment was stored in “Transnistria”. thx for the link
They just want to say farewell to the pro-Russian Transnistrans that will leave in green buses to be unloaded in Donbas.
The Russian service personnel you mention actually went of their own accord and many are already retired.
But I do agree overall with you; I think the USA is like a rabid dog backed into a corner and must come out fighting for any chance of survival, hence the provocation aimed at Russia primarily throughout Eurasia and the ME; closely followed by China and Iran (at the moment).
Well, somehow NS2 has to be stopped or NATO could lose Ukraine back to Russia. If the price will be economic destabilization of the EU region, let it be. Ukraine is more important than the EU.
Sorry bacon – ” NS2″ ???
North Stream 2 mate
God, effing God, I hate it when that happens. My equipment is in the TS and we are chasing Nord Stream 2 as we speak.
For some reason for the life of me, I couldn’t figure it out….”senile moment” or fucking stupidity ?.
It happens to me all the time so yeah, both. Btw I won’t bait
I just hope they come soon enough, the US is preparing to attack.
Hopefully China has realized who its friends are and who is “unfriendly”.
They do not have enough ships, and the Russian pacific fleet consists of a Udaloy class destroyers a Slava class cruiser, newly commissioned corvettes and a powerful fleet of SSN’s and SSGN’s. With the addition of more corvettes and submarines the Russian navy will anchor the northern Eurasian flank and keep the Japanese fleet neutralized in case of a US China showdown.
cool story
This is unacceptable. It is against all International treaties and rules. Russia is showing aggression toward Hawaii Islands.
They are pouting the ocean. Le’s put a “Green” sanction on them.
Not the first time they’re trying to annex Hawaii. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sch%C3%A4ffer_affair
Kind of funny. USSR has an aircraft carrier too.
Sources that are intimate with the military intelligence say it will be able to unfroze pizza after modernization
Nice one Russia. A few hidden missiles and torpedoes and travelling through the sees so gracefully.
