On March 6, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) released new photos from the newly-liberated city of Saraqib in the southeastern Idlib countryside.
The photos show some of the weapons left behind by Turkish-backed militants inside Saraqib, including an up-armored pick-up truck, tank shells and at least two U.S.-made TOW anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and its allies liberated Saraqib for the first time on February 7. Nevertheless, the militants recaptured the city a few weeks later with direct support from the Turkish Armed Forces.
In spite of Turkey’s support for the militants, the army and its allies, including Hezbollah, liberated Saraqib once again in a rapid attack on March 2.
Both the Damascus-Aleppo highway, known as the M5, and the Lattakia-Aleppo highway, known as the M4, run through Saraqib, making the city one of the most important urban centers in the Greater Idlib region.
Now the Syrian authorities are reportedly preparing to reopen the M5 highway within a few days. This would be a major blow to Turkey and its Syrian proxies, which worked very hard to keep the highway blocked.
