On December 22, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) released a video of Syrian troops currently advancing in southeastern Idlib.
The video shows battle tanks and howitzers of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) taking offensive positions in the region before launching another ground attack on al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies.
The state-run news agency also released several photos of SAA units clashing with militants in the outskirt of the towns of Harran and al-Ruffaha in southeast Idlib.
Earlier, the SAA imposed control of the towns of Tahtaya, al-Heraki, al-Hellbh, al-Qurati, al-Burj, Farwan, Karsanti, Suqay’ah and Muaysirunah in a blitzkrieg attack.
The army will likely advance further in southeast Idlib in the night hours. In the last two days, HTS and its allies sustained heavy losses while they were attempting to stop the army’s advance.
Great footage. Jarjanaz might be liberated in 2-3 days.
