On June 15, a defense observer on Twitter known as Obretix released a satellite image revealing that the Russian Aerospace Forces had deployed at least four Su-25 warplanes in the strategic T-4 airbase in central Syria.

The Su-25 Grach is a single-seat, twin-engine, close air support warplane developed by Sukhoi. The warplane’s latest upgrade, the Su-25sm3, is equipped with the advanced tactical EW suite Vitebsk-25, the SOLT-25 day\night electro-optical targeting system, a new encrypted communications system and an updated navigation system.
Obertix’s image also showed one Russian Forpost unnamed aerial vehicle (UAV). Forpost is a is a licensed copy of the Israeli IAI Searcher reconnaissance UAV, with an operation range of 200km and an endurance of around 18 hours.
It remains unclear if the Su-25s and the UAV were redeployed from the Hmeimim airbase on the Syrian coast, or if they are a new batch that arrived from Russia recently.
The deployment at the T-4 airbase would allow the Su-25s to provide Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops in eastern Homs and western Deir Ezzor with close air support in the case of any attack by ISIS. The warplanes can also reach the frontlines around Idlib from the airbase.

I have to disagree with the cost effectiveness of dumb bombs. In order for the SVP-24 to guarantee a hit within the CEP it has to conduct saturation bombing. This means one target per sortie and is not cost effective at all to an aircraft with several LGBs neutralizing multiple targets during the same sortie. Russia would actually save money if they gave up dumb bombs and switched to straight PGMs. Any cheap laser guidance will do.

We used to use radar guided artillery, you were guaranteed a direct hit on the 3rd round, with a fire rate of 35 rounds a minute. Of course your range is limited by the curvature of the earth, that applies to radar and lasers.

EU Member State Launches First 5G Network Using Huawei Equipment, Defying US Pressure.
One of the world’s biggest mobile operators, Vodafone, has launched its first commercial 5G network in 15 Spanish cities, including Madrid and Barcelona, using Huawei tech.
The roll-out took place despite US pressure on European Union member states to ban Huawei from participating in the construction of 5G networks.
However, Vodafone CEO Nick Read slammed the US demands, saying that ditching Huawei would delay the delivery of the network by around two years.
