On August 19, the US-based intelligence company Stratfor posted satellite imagery from August 17 that “shows shows the continued presence of Russian military aviation at Hamedan air base, west of Tehran.” The new imagery in conjunction with the previously appeared photos from the Hamadan Air Base, allow to at least roughly, evalute the numbers of Russian aircraft deployed to Hamedan air base.
The August 17 imagery shows four Su-34 fighter-bombers located close to each other at the eastern end of the airfield. The August 15 photographs showed three Russian Tu-22M3 strategic bombers at Hamedan.
Amid a lack of information about the Russian military presence in Iran, this information allows to evaluate the number of Russian aricraft deployed in Iran:
- 3 – Tu-22M3 strategic bombers;
- 4 – Su-34 fighter-bombers;

Isn’t it amazing that when nothing is being disputed the images are in color and clear, but when it’s images that “prove” Russia doing something in Ukraine they are always black and white, super blurry, and you can’t see anything?
Or completely withheld as in the case of MH17.
