On June 23, Israeli defense observer Observer IL released satellite images revealing the damage caused by several Houthi drone attacks on Jizan International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia between May 18 and July 4.
The images show that an unnamed aerial vehicle (UAV) shelter and command center in the southern part of Jizan airport was damaged in one of the Houthis’ attack. A second attack completely destroyed a large building located southeast of the airport.

The most recent Houthi attack on Jizan airport occurred in the late hours of July 6. The Yemeni group claimed that the attack was successful. However, the Saudi-led coalition said that all the suicide UAVs were successfully intercepted away from the airport.
UAVs of the Qasef-2k type, a direct copy of the Iranian Ababil-2, are usually used in this sort of attacks. This type of suicide UAVs is armed with a heavy high-explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG) warhead that explodes 20m over the target.
Observer IL’s new images proves the effectiveness of the Qasef-2K. Last month, the observer released satellite images revealing that UAVs of this type destroyed at least one attack helicopter of the Saudi military in Najran airport.

Also, “armed with a heavy high-explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG) warhead that explodes 20m over the target” The warhead is only 40kg and an anti-personnel fragmentation explosive, so how did it “flattened a whole 50×17 meter concrete structure“?
