The latest Astana agreement [no 14] once again reaffirmed its desire to implement the old Turkish/Syrian Adana agreement as a part of it’s working procedure, but since Assad’s said on many occasions that old Adana agreement is defunct due to the Turks having a permanent military presence on Syrian territory, that’s going to be impossible, and the only way it can be re instituted legally, is if all Turkish forces are withdrawn from Syria first, so unless the Turks leave Syria first, no working Adana agreement.

But what about this story on Turkish media, do the Russians really understand what this could possibly mean for them? ….

“The U.S. has not positively responded to Turkey’s proposal to establish a working group for the technical assessment of possible engagement between S-400 systems and F-35 fighter jets, but Washington said it has made its work, Çavuşoğlu said. Ankara asked for a copy of that technical work, but the U.S. has not agreed to share, he added.” ……

So the US has assessed that the S-400’s and the F-35’s aren’t operationally compatible, and they won’t share that info with the Turks, are they lying to the Turks about compatibility, mmm, probably. So what info has the US used to come to their conclusions, info provided by Turkey perhaps, should we be expecting a new US version of the Russian S-400 system soon, maybe the US doesn’t need to get it’s greedy fingers on the S-400’s themselves, maybe they could be reverse engineered from just technical data and specs alone. And what about this bit of blackmail, NATO got an earful the other day and now the US is getting its turn to play Erdogan’s favorite game of ‘do what we say or else’.

Asked if Turkey will consider closing the İncirlik Airbase in southern Turkey to U.S. aircraft in the event of any sanctions by the U.S. administration against Ankara, he said Ankara will decide upon its assessments in the worst-case scenario and İncirlik Airbase and Kürecik radar system of NATO could be among those retaliation plans. İncirlik may come up, and Kürecik may come up. Everything may come up. I don’t want to talk on assumptions. The decision of the administration is important, not the congress. We will evaluate and decide on the worst-case scenario”.

Main purpose of the peace corridor is to prevent communist guerilla use M4 highway to conduct their attacks on Turkey. 32 km deepness means it. Russians know that from the agreement. So does SAA. Only PKK/YPG on fake SAA uniforms refuses to accept.
