One of the positions targeted by Israeli warplanes during the November 8 strikes on Syria was a military logistic support facility located to the south of the coastal city of Tartus where a Russian naval base is located, newly-released satellite images confirmed.
The facility’s main warehouse was completely destroyed as a result of the Israeli strikes. Nevertheless, six storage tunnels remained intact.
What appears to be damage sustained from last nights reported airstrike south of Tartus, #Syria. From initial analysis a single warehouse appears to be the primary target of this compound which also contains 6 buried hardened concrete shelters which don’t appear to be targeted. pic.twitter.com/G21e9n6Ow8

A Syrian military source told the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency that positions in the coastal and central regions were struck, meaning the logistic support facility in Tartus was not the only target of the Israeli strikes.
Vadim Kulit, deputy chief of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, provided more details on the Israeli strikes. The Russian officers revealed that Syrian air defenses intercepted six out of eight missiles which were launched by Israeli warplanes.
“Between 20:16 and 20:23 on November 8, six F-15 tactical fighter aircraft of the Israeli air force violated the state border of the Syrian Arab Republic from the airspace of northern Lebanon and launched eight guided missiles at logistical and military support facilities of the Syrian armed forces in the Homs governorate. Syrian air defense units destroyed six of those missiles using Russian-made Buk-M2 and Pantsir-S air defense systems in service with the Syrian Armed Forces,” Kulit said, without addressing the targeted position in Tartus.
At least two Syrian service members were wounded as a result of the Israeli strikes. No fatalities were reported, however.
This was the second Israeli attack on Syria in November. The first attack, which took place on the 3rd of the month, targeted a military logistics support facility in the southern suburb of the capital, Damascus.
Israeli and Arab sources claim that the recent Israeli strikes on Syria destroyed Iranian weapons shipments which were about to be delivered to Lebanese Hezbollah. Nevertheless, the real targets were facilities and equipment of the Syrian Arab Army.
” the Israeli air force violated the state border of the Syrian Arab Republic ” … Why Syria do not use the S-300 ????
The yellow-livered cowards of the fake state “Israel” fired their puny missiles from Lebanese airspace – it wld be an an act of war shld Syria retaliate.
Anyway – what better way for Syria to swat down the pesky coward “Israeli” missiles with decades-old Buk and Pantsir defense systems? Syria gave a great slap in the face to the zionists showing how the so-called most sophisticated military in the ME is easily thwarted and only dares to fire missiles over 100Km away in foreign airspace instead of from perhaps Tel Aviv.
Clashes between Israelis and Syrians are bad and will only benefit Turkey. A Levantine unity will be nice to be accomplished. Syrians normalized with Lebanese and Jordanians and that’s good. One step more to be made here.
Peodostein scum, the fucking dregs, pond scum.
