On August 27th, the spokesperson of the Saudi-led coalition accused Yemen’s Houthi movement of launching a ballistic missile, and specifically aiming it at civilians and civilian infrastructure in Najran, Saudi Arabia.
Reportedly, the missile was intercepted and there were neither damages nor casualties.
Just a week earlier, the Saudi-led coalition and the forces of the Yemen puppet government reportedly got the upper hand in fighting against the Houthis.
Approximately 1,000 Houthi fighters have reportedly been killed in the 4 days leading up to August 20th.
This happened in clashes in various contested areas of the central province of Marib, with hundreds more wounded or captured.
The fight for Marib is on-going, as most of the surrounding area was captured by the Ansar Allah movement after the Saudi-led coalition pulled out of it, due to being incapable of adequately fighting the incoming enemy forces.
“We have counted 966 Houthis, including senior officers, killed in the fighting in Marib over the last four days. Their bodies are still scattered on the battlefields,” an army officer in Marib, who asked to remain anonymous, said.
On August 19th, at least 35 Houthis reportedly surrendered when government forces attacked their location in Marib’s Serwah, local army commanders said.
None of these claims have any evidence to back them up, and in reality it appears that the Houthis are making significant gains and taking control of Marib is nearing.
In neighboring Al-Bayda, Brig. Abdulrab Al-Asbahi, the commander of Al-Bayda Axis, said on August 19th that at least 60 Houthis had been killed in heavy fighting with government forces in the district of Qania.
Lt. Gen. Sagheer bin Aziz, the army’s chief of staff, has renewed his pledge to defeat the Houthis on the battlefield and drive them out of areas under their control, including the capital, Sanaa.
It remains unclear how that will happen since, if the report of a ballistic missile being launched towards a Saudi Arabian city is true, that is, in itself, showing which side has the upper hand on the battlefield.
Attacks across the Yemen-Saudi border by the Houthi militias have escalated since late May.
In June, their missiles reached the Saudi capital Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia retaliated with airstrikes, and it has been proven to target civilians and civilian infrastructure more than once.
MORE ON THE TOPIC:
About 90% of the time, the dumbass Saudi cunt losers make up this crap to cover up their daily hiding at the hands of Ansarallah.
Rumor says saudisis troops give blowjobs for a barrel of Syrian oil…
To be fair a goat is more attractive than getting a BJ from stinking Saudis :)
?
I’m just ranting a little here, this isn’t meant to go in-depth.
Saudi Arabia’s American supplied ABM shield consisting of Patriot PAC-2’s (soon to be THAAD’s) has done an amicable job at thwarting a decent number of Houthis BM attacks but the issue (as far as I’m concerned) comes down to just how inefficient the concept of ABM really is when you start looking at sheer costs (this stuff is mind bogglingly expensive). I’m a big proponent of passive instead of hermetic/hard kill defense regimes.
To put it simply we can say that the deployment of ABM systems by any country would naturally impose a sort of “diminish returns” cost to effectiveness ratio that ends up amounting to the billions and millions of dollars spent on trying to counter BM’s fired when the opponent is launching cheap to produce (relative to the ABM system) missiles en masse. Moreover I don’t think any ABM system in world whether it be PAC2/3s, David Sling, Arrow 1/2/3, THAAD, SM2,, S300PMU2, S-400 and S-500 has faced a real world scenario stress test and thusly can’t claim to be truly worth the cost or nearly as effective (as they would have you believe).
We have yet to see how a PATRIOT complex deals with 40, 50 and most likely 100+ modern age BM/Q-BM utilizing gas nozzles and control surfaces for in flight course corrections plus decoys being launched, being fired off at the area they’re supposed to protect at once. That is an almost insurmountable amount of incoming vehicles for any system to defend against.
I’m in the mindset that ABM will only counter a smaller amount of missiles and the bulk of a volley will get through. If we take Iran for example, they can fire thousands of dumb fire Zelzal long-range artillery rockets, or earlier generation SHAHAB 1s and 2s at enemy facilities quickly depleting ABM hard-kill vehicles. Subsequently allowing for other bigger, better, more accurate missiles to decimate whatever target it is they go after.
It really is as simple as a game of numbers. What are you thoughts Z = E?
You are right, that was not a rant but good observations and valid questions. Missile defences are trying to keep up with missiles, and that is why Iran is investing in hypersonic technology and massive numbers. No missile system in the world can overcome hundreds if not thousands of projectiles at different trajectories. So far a few slow missiles have been intercepted, but even a modest organized strike easily wiped out the Saudi cunts oil facilities and the Americunt arseholes could not even track over 1200 kms of slow flight. So I believe a combination of missiles, drones and base bleed artillery can overwhelm anything. Keep in mind that Saudi morons and Emirati pimps are barely 75 kms from Abu Musa or nearest Iranian missiles and rocket bases. The Zionist cunts can’t even intercept Hamas 1950’s vintage 122 grads. You will see what Hezbollah can do with NOE precision missiles in the next conflict with the shit scared Zionists.
My thoughts exactly Z = E, my thoughts exactly.
The bigger issue here is that there seems to be a strong sense of delusion in which many of these nations exhibit when someone brings up this objective observation.
It seems like the sunk cost fallacy plays such a large part in just how stagnant many Middle Eastern militaries tend to be. Way too many of them want to stick to their big ticket items and fail to truly embrace just how effective an asymmetrical approach to deterrence and tactical operational capabilities can be in the face of traditional methods. And I can’t blame them really lol. They have Zio-America to sell them $100 billion+ in conventional military equipment so they must think that will directly translate to winning wars, etc etc…
Sad that the Gulf Arab nations can’t pull their heads out of the sand (pun in intended) and try to think for themselves. These nations and their rulers are simply uneventful.
On a side note: If Iran, well, when Iran unveils an even longer ranger version of the Hajj Qassem Q-BM that can possibly reach 2,000km+. Even Diego Garcia and other bases in Africa won’t be safe from tactical Iranian missile operations. I’m just waiting to see if Iran’s metallurgy and advanced fabrication process can create a HGV vehicle like the ones China and Russia have recently produced. They have the missiles for them, all they need to do is push a little further and they’ll have an HGV of their own soon enough.
For further reading I’ will link you to a Twitter account that goes over just how many missiles Iran, for example, would need to fully obliterate America’s largest bases in the Middle East and surrounding nations. Rather telling analysis…

Maybe with some of our tech ;-)
HUSH little TWAT! lol
Contrary to saudisis Houthis never target civs.
And Hezbollah? shooting rockets into Israeli centers? they are not terrorists for you?
It is called OCCUPIED PALESTINE you little attention seeking TWAT with Hezbollah obsession.
Houthis arent Hezbollah.
Well, with the new peace deal between Israel and the UAE, now we will assist them against the Houthis. No one does it better than us, I expect a major turnover infavour of the Saudi Coalition now.
Saudisis are the bad guys. In this case the enemy of your enemy is not your friend… U.S. and UK helped saudisis for years with little success. I doubt Israeli tactics and intel would yield better results. Except if you start dropping tactical nukes… But how many “fertilizer” explosions can there be in a year…
Well I’ll leave it to our security agencies, they always find a solution.
“Just a week earlier, the Saudi-led coalition and the forces of the Yemen puppet government reportedly got the upper hand in fighting against the Houthis.
Approximately 1,000 Houthi fighters have reportedly been killed in the 4 days leading up to August 20th.”
Don’t you think it’s weird that just after our signed peace deal, suddenly a thousand of their fighter are killed? a point to think about.
I take it with a grain of salt… Could be a PR stunt or not… Afghans lost millions of people in never ending wars, yet they arent defeated… Saudisis lost more gear and people than they could replace anytime soon, their economy is also going belly up. Im sure you are aware they have to bribe their own population to not revolt and behead the royal family… What will happen when the money runs out… Houthis are the new Vietnam, they are dedicated and fierce and creative fighting for their home. Im confident they will win.
Well, the Houthis are stubborn like Hezbollah and Hamas I give them that, but we are even more when it comes to our security. I’ll leave the Saudis to handle it their own way, but I’m sure we support them one way or another as this is a proxy war and Iran is doing the same against us. As part of that proxy war, I wonder where will they send me first? to the north or to the south, I prefer dealing with the Hamas scums before we move on the Hezbollah and their larger rocket arsenal. However it can change if Hezbollah keeps trying to retaliate, in that case 150K (or more) IDF troops are ready for the largest invasion we’ve ever done.
I dont think Houthis would pose a threat to Israel.
Their motto is death to israel, death to the Jews. So maybe they will feel us better now, if they want death we can bring it to them. They once threatened to shoot their long ranged rockets over here, Just like Iran has been saying for years now. I guess they love to make threats, but they know exactly what we can do to them and Sana’a in that case.
And in what way is their chanting a danger? I doubt their rockets could reach Israel. You could hear similar chants in many parts of the U.S., yet you wont bomb them, or am I wrong…
Nope we won’t but it’s a different comparison, one is an ally, the other is hostile. I don’t know how things will develop in the ME, but I have a strong feeling the U.S, Israel, KSA and UAE are going to work alot closer now. Time will tell Ranger :)
Some are allies, some arent… We will see. Albeit I wouldnt put too much hope in spoiled camel riders…
Its a similiar situation like between North and South Korea. Their artillery and rocket artillery could flatten Seoul, but the U.S. could drop nukes. Threats go back and forth, yet not much happened for 70years.
I agree.
Trying to make them laugh to death with your IDF clown army? Isn’t the IDF the joke of everyone since they got photographed siting together and crying? wasn’t that alread 2006 with that succesful South-Lebanon campaign against a much smaller, much less equipped Hesbolla? Own propaganda obviousely works best on own people, where thinking and own opinion had never been a strength…
Only if you believe lies, and ignore the outcome of the 2006 war. Only 10K troops, 5% of our firepower and less than a month – those 3 factors were enough to keep Hezbollah quiet to this day. What happens if we decide to use much more force? 150K troops, 80-90% of our firepower and let’s say 3-4 months of bombings with boots on the ground wiping out every village. take a guess.
of course not, all jews regardless of sex or civil situation are illegal occupiers and thus fair targets for all and sundry in the middle east.
The Saudis have lost the war and are in severe internal strife and have a huge credibility gap.
fake news—the Saudi Israeli terrorists have mobile phones–they gloat when they bomb a sand dune claim victory and take photos of their blow up porn dolls dressed up as defeated dead soldiers…but no photos here!
They dont post videos of interceptation because as we have seen in other videos some missile and houttis drones usually hit the target…
He and the hasbara TWAT Nicad or whatever yearn for any attention and best is to downvote and ignore and make em squirm.
they lie through their teeth them arabs. couldn’t tell the truth if their lives depended on it.
can’t see why anyone engages in discussions with the little jew-twat iron zion. ignore ignore. starve him to death
Child killers all have in common a tendency to lie shamelessly, the good news is that the more they lie the more they make their defeat evident, and with them the entire West supporting them will lose all residual respect towards the whole world, the fall of these barbaric and artificial regimes is next.
