Between December 11 and 12, the Saudi-led coalition carried out dozens of airstrikes on fighters and equipment of the Houthis (Ansar Allah) in the central Yemeni province of Ma’rib and on the country’s western coast.

35 Saudi-led coalition airstrikes targeted Houthi forces in Ma’rib, where the group made some serious gains earlier this week.

According to the coalition, the airstrikes killed more than 200 Houthi fighters and destroyed 21 military vehicles of the group.

Meanwhile on the western coast, Saudi-led coalition warplanes carried out three airstrikes on Houthis forces. The Houthis have been attempting to advance along the coast line since the abrupt withdrawal of coalition proxies from the province of al-Hudaydah in mid-November.

The coalition claims that the airstrikes claimed the lives of 15 Houthi fighters and destroyed two military vehicles of the group.

The Saudi-led coalition airstrikes were not limited to Ma’rib and the western coast, according to Yemeni sources. The al-Masirah TV reported that two children and an elderly woman was killed in the northwestern province of Hajjah late on December 11 when coalition warplanes bombed their house.

The Houthis will likely respond to the Saudi-led coalition’s recent airstrikes by attacking targets in Saudi Arabia in the upcoming few days.

Are they using the Robert McNamara Vietnam method of counting. The more bodies means you are winning so if you inflate the numbers of dead then you must be really winning.
