Saudi-led coalition warplanes carried out on September 21 dozens of airstrikes on Houthi-held areas in Yemen despite the peace initiative presented by the group a day earlier.
Brig. Gen. Yahya Sari, a spokesman for the Houthis, said that 39 airstrikes targeted several Yemeni provinces within 12 hours.
“The outcome of the Saudi aggressor’s warplanes attacks on our country in a number of Yemeni provinces in the last 12 hours is more than 39 airstrikes,” the spokesman said.
According to al-Masirah, the Saudi airstrikes targeted several positions in the provinces of Sanaa, Hajjah and ‘Amran. The coalition artillery also shelled the city of al-Hudaydah, where a U.N.- sponsored ceasefire is implemented.
Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Houthis’ Supreme Political Council, announced a new peace initiative on September 20, under which the Yemeni group would cease all missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia.
By continuing their airstrikes on Yemen, Saudi Arabia and its allies have effectively rejected the initiative. The Houthis will likely respond to this soon, as al-Mashat had warned the Saudi-led coalition from violating the initiative.
US is the primary force behind the Saudi aggression on Yemen. US wants regional conflict and fratricide so that the Zionists can survive and attention is deflected from the plight of the Palestinians. It is looking dicey though.

I don’t think the Houthis have ever believed they could negotiate with MbS. But politically they were right to propose a peace agreement. The attack on Abqaiq had served the MSM to portray them as terrorists. Now the Sauds with these raids have rehabilitated and legitimized them in front of the whole world

I think the Houthis were told (yes by Iran) to try and lower tensions in the region. But by the Saudi response as detailed above (probably dictated by the US – as it sounds very Americanish) – the Houthis if possible should raise the staked.
Hit the Saudi military bases, hit the UAE and let’s see where that goes.
