On October 23, the Saudi-led coalition announced that its warplane had targeted a workshop in the costal Yemeni province of al-Hodeida where the Houthis (Ansar Allah) were assembling booby-trapped boats.
In a statement, the coalition claimed that four water-borne Improvised Explosive Devices (WBIED) were destroyed in the airstrikes. The boats were being prepared in the workshop for upcoming attacks.
“The coalition’s efforts have contributed to the protection of shipping lanes and global trade in the Bab al-Mandab strait and the southern Red Sea,” the statement reads.
The Saudi-led coalition also shared aerial reconnaissance images of the alleged workshop and the four booby-trapped boats.

The Houthis have been targeting Saudi-led coalition warships with remotely-controlled WBIEDs for several years. In 2017, a detailed report by the Conflict Armament Research (CAR) revealed that Iranian components were used in the making of these makeshift anti-shipping weapon.
Ten days ago, Saudi-led coalition warplanes targeted and destroyed two WBIEDs of the Houthis in the Red Sea, off the western coast of Yemen.
The Saudi-led coalition conducts airstrikes on al-Hudaydah on a regular basis despite that the province is protected by a UN-sponsored ceasefire. The coalition claims that the Houthis launch many of their missiles, suicide drones and booby-trapped boats from the province.

It’s like #3 lost interest in the opinion of their audience. Usually it happens when a media finds some steady and relatively easy funding other than donations from their regulars.
