On December 23, forces loyal to Saudi-backed President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi and troops of the Saudi-led coalition resumed their advance in the northern province of Jawf and captured the al-Ajasher camp in the Khb al-Shab area. The camp is located on a strategic road that links Jawf with the main heartland of the Houthis in Yemen, Saada province.

During the attack on the al-Ajasher camp, 19 fighters of the Houthis were killed and 12 others were captured by Saudi-led forces, according to the UAE-based al-Arabiya TV.

Meanwhile in Sana’a province, Saudi-backed forces captured the hills of Ganaseen and Al-Salata in the Nihm district after five days of battles, according to Yemeni sources. The sources added that pro-Saudi forces are now advancing towards the Qutbain junction.

Saudi-led coalition warplanes conducted dozens of airstrikes on Houthi positions and gatherings in Nahim district, according to al-Arabiya. Yemeni sources said that over 25 Houthi fighters were killed and several vehicles of the Houthis were destroyed in the airstrikes.

The Saudi-led coalition and pro-Hadi forces have shifted their focus to northern Yemen and the province of Sana’a after they failed to develop their attack towards the strategic port of al-Hudaydah in western Yemen.

Once again, Pussin never pressure USA on Yemen. Always the same weak Pussin negociating with USA and expecting from USA I don’t know what.

That’s why all Russia allies always loose.

Icarus Tanović

That way, you show us how stupid you actually are.

Bob

Since when was Yemen a Russian ally? Name any strategic or vital Russian interests located in Yemen? In fact, why even bring up Russia vis-a-vis the Saudi-UAE-US-UK driven war on Yemen at all? To crudely divert attention away from the real participants engaged in war crimes? Or as an obviously unrelated whinge-fest about Putin and Russia, in the usual US MSM style?

Derapage

I’m sorry to say it but I’m afraid Houthis does not have exit strategy except surrendered.

Serious

Nobody will help them.

First priority is to lift the blockade. I find the occasional missile launch by N Yemen to be quite counterproductive. To score propaganda points while the people suffer. NOT SMART :( https://theintercept.com/2017/11/16/u-n-security-counil-saudi-arabia-blockade-yemen-famine-iran/

Moussa Saab

I can’t stop chuckling after hearing the you say “Propaganda points” XD. Otherwise I agree with your comment. Really hoping for a ‘good one’ to hit Saudia Arabia and to see the look at Kings face when an Aramco plant is hit, until it happens.

Thegr8rambino

why counterproductive? if they hit and cause a good amount of damage it can only help houthis regain their country :))

PZIVJ

That’s a big if ! These longer range launches carry a smaller warhead and may be prone to possible intercept (sometimes screwing up the fall of the warhead, but not destroying it) And if N Yemen makes less than 1 long range attack a month they do not have enough of them for sure. Meanwhile in Nov Saudis announced a naval blockade over a launch, and bitch Nicki at the UN and the Sauds are trying to claim Iran was involved. This I call counterproductive.

Thegr8rambino

well houthis just need to make it count once: destroy the royal palace and kill all saudi top leadership in one fell swoop and there will be no one to bitch to nikki about the missiles :)))

Hassan Ghonem

Heaven is their exit strategy, until god shows them the path of victory They are defending their homeland, they either win or die.

Icarus Tanović

That’s right my brother.

Potato Potato

Its been 2 years and the Saudi salafist coalition is gaining maybe 2 micro inches of land per day.

Icarus Tanović

Price is to high for Bin Salman’s sensitive crown ass. Wish to see somw more attack on Saudi cities with missiles.

Icarus Tanović

LET’S BLAST THESE SALAFIST WAHABIES ASSES!

There was a great article on counter-punch, this is Saudi Arabia’s version of Montgomery’s ‘Market Garden’ https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/12/22/a-total-horror-show-the-new-plan-for-yemen/ and I hope it ends in the same disastrous manner. It makes sense out of the coming together of recent events: – Saleh switching sides – A reconciliation between UAE and Saudi factions. – great description of using food as a weapon as a critical component of the strategy. – the recent drive on Hodeidah port is to take advantage of the situation but was pre-planned (Market Garden).
