On February 28, forces loyal to Saudi-backed Yemeni president Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi captured the mountains of al-Hamr’a and Suran in the Nati district of al-Bayda province in central Yemen, according to local sources.
The media center of pro-Hadi forces said that pro-Hadi fighters had killed 20 members of the Houthis in this advance. According to the same report, Saudi-led coalition warplanes supported the pro-Hadi forces attack and destroyed at least one vehicle belonging to the Houthis in the Nati district.
Furthermore, pro-Hadi forces and the Saudi-led coalition repelled a large attack by the Houthis on their positions in the Nihm district of Sanaa province. Pro-Hadi fighters killed 17 members of the Houthis and captured 33 others, including 4 field commanders, according to the media center of pro-Hadi forces.
Pro-Hadi forces backed by Saudi-led coalition warplanes captured the al-Nukhsh Mountains in the Nihm district on February 25 following violent clashes with the Houthis.
The ongoing military operations of pro-Hadi forces and the Saudi-led coalition in central Yemen are mainly aimed at pressuring the Houthis positions around the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. However, the Houthis’ main supply lines to Sanaa have not been cut off.
Not good, not good at all.
no they must not reach Sanaa! Iran needs to do something urgently!
“…Pro-Hadi forces backed by Saudi-led coalition warplanes captured the al-Nukhsh Mountains in the Nihm district…”
All territorial gains in the mountains against the flip-flop army are temporary at best. All the UAE mercs on earth are not going to take away any chunk of mountains from the Houthis. The Saudis/UAE and their US/Israeli backers will fail, like all other invaders have over the last four thousand years or so. Nothing is different this time, except the scope and magnitude of the unnecessary suffering the Saudis (with US help) are intentionally inflicting on the Yemeni civilians.
