Saudi-led Coalition Intercepted Two Houthi Suicide Drones Over Yemen (Video)

On October 23, the Saudi-led coalition intercepted and destroyed two suicide drones which were launched by the Houthis, Ansar Allah, from Yemen.

According to coalition spokesman Col. Turki Al-Malki, the first drone was intercepted in the morning and the second in the afternoon.

In two official statements, the coalition said the drones were launched “systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects in the Southern Region.”

The UAE-based al-Arabiya TV shared a video showing the interception of one of the drones, that appeared to be small in size.

Usually, Houthi drones are intercepted by F-15 fighter jets of the Royal Saudi Air Force with air-to-air missiles, like the AIM-120 AMRAAM and the AIM-9 Sidewinder.

The Saudi-led coalition developed an effective tactic to counter the threat of Houthis drones. However, not all attacks are being foiled. In September, Abha International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia was struck by a suicide drone that was launched by the Houthis.

Saudi sources said so? I truly doubt, because they lie all over.
