Saudi-led Coalition Shares Footage Of Recent Airstrikes On Houthi Fighters In Ma’rib

On October 14, the Saudi-led coalition announced that its warplanes had carried out 36 airstrikes on fighters and vehicles of the Houthis (Ansar Allah) in the district of al-Abdiyah in the central Yemeni province of Ma’rib.

Al-Abdiyah district center, which is located to the south of Ma’rib city, is currently besieged by the Houthis. Saudi-backed Yemeni forces have launched an operation to break the group’s siege.

According to the Saudi-led coalition, the recent wave of airstrikes on al-Abdiyah claimed the lives of 150 Houthi fighters and destroyed 11 military vehicles of the group.

A day earlier, the coalition claimed that 400 fighters of the Houthis were killed in recent airstrikes on the outskirts of al-Abdiyah center.

The Saudi-led coalition also shared footage showing some of its recent airstrikes on Houthis fighters and vehicles in the district.

The Houthis and their local allies have been advancing towards Ma’rib city for more than seven months now. Earlier this month, Houthi fighters reached the western outskirts of the city after conducting a successful large-scale operation.

Saudi-backed forces in Ma’rib city appear to be on the brink of complete collapse. The Houthis have already offered full amnesty to any fighter who flees the battlefield.

Yemeni army has only 43,000 fighters while Houthis have more than 200,000 fighters. That’s why they win. The Saudi army can find 250,000 fighters and the Sudanese the same. The Egyptians can have some 900,000 easily. Israel can have some 200,000 also. But let’s look at those forces that support the Houthis.

Turkey and Iran can arm 700,000 easily each of them. Turkey controls Somalia. Somalia can have 100,000 despite the civil war. Eritrea, which is pro-Iran can give another 150,000 easily. Ethiopia, which is now pro-Turkey and pro-Iran is a populous country so they can give at least the same with Egypt. Iraqis can have at least 300,000 fighters and Syrians at least 150,000 fighters. So yeah the balance is with them.
