Saudi-led Coalition Strikes Key Houthi Military Facilities In Sanaa & Saada

Early on December 2, the Saudi-led coalition carried out a series of airstrikes on key military facilities of the Houthis (Ansar Allah) in Yemen.

In statements shared by the Saudi Press Agency, the coalition revealed that it had targeted two storage facilities in the capital, Sanaa, which were used by the Houthis as supply centers and weapons depots, as well as drone and missile workshops in the northern province of Saada, the heartland of the Houthis.

“We have taken precautionary measures to spare civilians and civilian properties from collateral damage,” the coalition said.

Yemeni sources, including the pro-Houthis al-Masirah news TV, did not report any casualties a result of the Saudi-led coalition’s airstrikes on Sanaa and Saada.

A day earlier, the Saudi-led coalition intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis, destroyed a booby-trapped boat that was prepared by the group and struck the air defense base of Sanaa International Airport. From their side, the Houthis shot down a combat drone of the coalition over northern Yemen.

The Saudi-led coalition’s attempts to deter and intimidate the Houthis through sheer force will not likely stop any time soon.

Despite facing unprecedented pressure, the Houthis will likely strike back. The group survived worse situations during the past six years.
