Saudi-led Coalition Warplane Crashed In Yemen’s Abyan Province

In one word.

FANTASTIC.

At first, I was thinking that someone got a few Russian, Iranian or Chinese MANPADS with all the mysterious aircraft ‘crashes’ in Yemen lately. But that’s my typical western thinking. Occam’s Razor: It was probably a pissed-off 18-year-old Houthi with a steady hand using iron sights on a Mk 1 Enfield. Well, that’s the story I want to believe, anyway – no matter how improbable.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have no chance against the Houthis. They’re way out of their league in Yemen. I can only hope that when they finally give up and head back home, the Houthis will follow them.

Maybe the Houthi was using a Ross and hit the pilot or the Mk.4 Lee-Enfield which is by far the better version since it has craftsmanship behind unlike British masters of quantity over quality. Hate the fact the clips are lead though, too soft so you leave the clip in.

The Houthi kid will inherit his grandpa’s ‘newer’ Mk 4 when grandpa passes away.

they will care for it , the Ross was never designed as a trench rifle , but it was very accurate , was used by Frances Pegahmagabow he had 378 sniper kills with it and captured 300 prisoners in first world war , runner, scout, sniper was highly decorated came from the Ojibwa nation.

Since they are avid users of Soviet WWII tehnology, it’s more likely that this is the work of GAZ mounted Quad Maxim guns. :) https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e0/Bundesarchiv_Bild_121-1204%2C_Russland%2C_Vierlings-MG_auf_LKW.jpg http://wiki.warthunder.com/images/a/a7/4M_GAZ-AAA_Garage.jpg

I need one of those. For squirrels and stuff..

Yes, the SU 100 with the fine naval gun (probably the reason for the Army’s delay in production) is back in action in Yemen.
