Saudi Security Forces Kill Three Men Accused Of “Terrorism” In Qatar

On September 28, a spokesman for the Saudi Presidency of State Security announced that security forces killed three men accused of terrorism a day earlier after they resisted arrest in the eastern Shi’ite region of Qatif. Three Saudi policemen were reportedly lightly injured in the clashes.

According to the spokesman, the three men “Mohammed Hasan Ahmed Al Zaid,” Mufeed Hamza Ali Al-Alwan” and “Khalil Ibrahim Hasan Al Muslim” were involved in a series of “terror incidents” which took place in Qatif.

Contrary to the Saudi authorities’ claims, the Iranian al-Alam TV reported, on September 27, that Saudi security forces targeted several young men in the neighborhood of al-Kuwaikeb in Qatif only because they oppose the sectarian polices of  the kingdom.

During the last few years, Qatif witnessed miltiple protests against the Saudi government. The protests escalated two years ago when Saudi authorities executed well-known Shi’ite cleric “Nimr Baqir al-Nimr,” who led many protests in 2011 and 2012. In response, Saudi security force began targeting anyone who was involved in the uprising.

Maybe their both lying and these were Iranian agents? Why would Iran concern themselves with this, anyway? All these conflicting accounts raise more questions than they answer.

Richard M

Maybe they were Klingons beamed down from an orbiting Bird of Prey? Maybe they were Lizard People coming from Earth’s center to kidnap and eat children. Or maybe they were Shia civilians gunned down for not converting to Wahhabism.

From what I understood they were searched asked by Qatar, which is not a Wahhabi regime, actually one of the most liberal in the region.

Bob

Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque – is the national state mosque of Qatar – it’s named after Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab – the founder of the Islamic Wahhabist sect. The national Qatari mosque regularly host the Saudi Wahhabi cleric Sa’ad al-Ateeq, under full Qatari Ministry of Islamic Affairs state patronage, and from the national Qatari mosque platform this Saudi cleric has repeatedly called for destruction of Shi’ites, Christians, Alawites and Jews.

occupybacon

That’s an example. I think you can find such thing in France too. Did you know in Qatar women are allowed to walk with uncovered head and some(very rare) even staying topless on the beach? A friend who works there sent me pics.

Bob

The Qatari Ministry of Islamic Affairs – the state religious institution – endorses radical Wahhabi clerics from Saudi Arabia. What exactly do you fail to understand about this?

occupybacon

Qatar currently sis more friendly towards Iran and Turkey than Saudis.

Bob

Err, now you are just getting very desperate. The Qatari state sponsored and funded national mosque is literally named after the founder of the Saudi Wahhabi sect. So, what exactly do you still not understand about this? LOL.

occupybacon

I see that you use “LOL” and “Desperate” pretty often in your comments. Maybe you try some real arguments instead? I already said that Wahhabi names can be found in other countries than Qatar

Bob

Nope – you are just desperately clutching at your previously failed point. LOL. I have already made it very clear Qatari Islamic affairs are heavily Wahhabi influenced and Qatar is not in any real sense a ‘liberal’ state.

occupybacon

I said one of the most liberal in the region, not in general. You’re in love with your “LOL”s don’t you Bobby?

Bob

You get more desperate each time – clearly illustrated by your defensive need to attempt to be patronizing by using term ‘Bobby’ – that is a classic sign you already lost. LOL

occupybacon

But do you have anything to say other than ‘desperate’ and ‘LOL’?

Bob

Or maybe it’s a violently repressive state that harms its own ethnic and religious minorities.

RichardD

Kind of like Israel.

Saudis accusing others of terrorism, that’s the pot calling the kettle black
