The Ukrainian army continues the massive shelling of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). On February 18th, thousands of shells hit the territories of the republics. In addition to attempts to break through the defenses of local fighters on the front lines, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) are targeting civilian facilities in the DPR and LPR.
Settlements along the entire front line are suffering from the intense shelling by the UAF for the second day in a row. On February 18th, sirens were heard in Donetsk.
A general mobilization of the Republics’ People’s militias was announced on February 18th. The heads of the DPR and LPR called on all men capable of holding weapons to stand up to protect their home.
Amid the massive shelling of civilians and the UAF readiness to launch a large-scaled offensive operation, the mass evacuation of the DPR/LPR citizens to Russia began on the afternoon of February 18th.
Civilians who spent the whole night under fire, hiding in basements from explosions, are now fleeing the war, saving their lives in Russia.
“Currently, more than 80 buses have already crossed the border of the Rostov region (in Russia). First of all, the evacuation of children was organized. The civilian population will cross the checkpoints both by public and private transport,” the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported at about 10 p.m. local time.
There have not been so many cars on the border with Russia during the whole war, even in the most difficult times. The following videos show private cars from the DPR heading towards Russia. After the evacuation was announced, all roads to the border crossings of the DPR were filled with cars.
The mayor of Gorlovka said that the evacuation will take more than one day, it will be possible to leave by railway transport as well.
First of all, children, women and the elderly are evacuated.
Many residents of the republics go to their relatives in Russia. However, most of the refugees have no relatives to host them in Russia, and they are forced to leave everything they had, saving their lives.
Primarily, orphaned children from boarding schools were evacuated from the war-torn regions. The video shows the evacuation of children to the Rostov region from an orphanage in Donetsk.
The buses are filled with young mothers with children, who are forced to leave their home and escape from the military threat from the UAF.
Many women take their children and elderly relatives to Russia and then return to the DPR/LPR to their husbands or elderly parents who could not be taken out.
According to local sources, men are allowed to cross the border only if they take out relatives by private transport.
In their turn, local children proudly declare that when they grow up, they will stand up for their native region and are ready to fight the Ukrainian aggressors.
The Ukrainian special services are trying to disrupt the evacuation, intimidating women and children.
Mass mailings were reported. The locals got messages saying that the border with Russia can be allegedly crossed only with a passport of the Russian Federation. Leaflets are being distributed with statements that the Russian officials in the Rostov region allegedly do not even know about any evacuation and are not ready for it.
These are the blatant lies.
On the evening of February 18, more than a hundred buses with citizens of the DPR and LPR were accepted in Russia. Checkpoints at the border were promptly equipped with heating spots, and the necessary medical care was provided. On the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, financial payments are provided to refugees arriving in the region.
On the evening of February 18, Acting Head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Chupriyan with an operational group of the Central Office of the department flew to Rostov-on-Don on behalf of the President to organize the reception of the refugees from the DPR and LPR.
Civilians in the DPR/LPR have been suffering from regular shelling by the UAF for years. Ukraine’s “Western allies” turned a blind eye to regular violations of the ceasefire, while international organizations ignored the crimes committed by Ukrainian soldiers against the local civilians. The new aggression unleashed by the Kiev regime has clearly demonstrated that the lives of Ukrainians on both sides of the front line are not such a high price for the realization of Kiev’s interests. Taking into account the inhumane criminal acts committed by Ukrainian nationalist forces in Donbass in recent years, a new war in Europe has every chance of becoming the bloodiest catastrophe in the early 21st century.
Go buy yourself some brains you Whore…
Dam it Putin, just carpet bombed the UkroNazis already, if you don’t want to do it, then send some heavy equipment into Donbass… Let them finally have a good revenge!
See Russia will let the Zio Nazi Ukrainian army enter the independent republics ( the reason for the evacuations) and then destroy them utterly with precision missile and artillery fire from Russia. It will be over very quickly. This way there will be no doubt it was the Zio Nazis who are the aggressors as all their dead bodies will be inside the territory of the independent republics.
A very intelligent solution for Russia as there will be no invasion to sanction and Ukraine will be unable to cause trouble for some time when their Zio Nazi army has been totally destroyed.
