The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the U.S.-led coalition have carried out four security operations against ISIS cells in northeastern Syria.
The first two operations took place in eastern al-Hasakah on October 17. Four members of ISIS were arrested during the operations. Weapons were also seized.
According to the SDF Coordination and Military Operations Center, one of the terrorists arrested in eastern al-Hasakah was a commander of ISIS who manufactured improvised explosive devices for the group.
The third and fourth operations took place in the town of al-Inaad and near the CONICO gas factory in southeastern Deir Ezzor. Four members of ISIS were arrested. The main mission of two of the terrorists was to distribute weapons and ammunition to other cells in the governorate.
Earlier this week, the SDF and the U.S.-led coalition apprehended 25 terrorists in three separate security operations in al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor.
Despite these efforts, ISIS cells are still active in northeastern Syria, especially in Deir Ezzor and other Arab majority areas.
The SDF appears to be lacking a serious counter-terrorism strategy. The group released 631 terrorism convicts a few days ago for no clear reason.
In a way the picttres are good signs. If true ISIS only are light armed.
ISIS/HTS and SDF both CIA creations; after arrest they are sent to Libya or azerbijian for canon fodder so they can find their virgins in the after life
I’m sure your sister waiting for them to
