On June 22, SDF militants have launched a surprise security operation at dawn today, during which they targeted the city of Al-Busairah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, with the aerial support of the U.S.-led International Coalition’s helicopters.
Local sources from the town stated that SDF gunmen had imposed a security cordon around the city, preventing entry and exit. Militants announced a curfew in the town until a further notice, posting their barriers on the streets, threatening locals, who did not know the reason for this sudden move.
According to the sources, a man and his wife were wounded and were subsequently taken to the hospital, after SDF gunmen shot them under the pretext of not adhering to the curfew. The SDF patrol guards arrested dozens of the city’s residents without explaining the reasons, and taking them to an unknown destination. According to the sources, some of the detainees were identified as Salem Al-Bardi, Noam Abu Assaf and Hammadi Al-Aswad.
The sources confirmed that the arrests included dozens of young men, but the curfew and the security cordon prevented the accurate documentation of their numbers.
The city witnessed this morning the emergence of popular demonstrations against the arrests, and a state of tension prevailed in the area amid fears of an escalation of the confrontation and more civilian casualties.
It is noteworthy that the areas of the Syrian Jazeera are still witnessing a state of popular anger towards the practices of the SDF, and the raids and arbitrary arrests carried out against the people on a regular basis.
SDF is built just like ISIL, nor Kurds or Wahhabi Sunnis have men power to fight…they don’t have money or weapons. Remember Turkic just walked in N-Syria…
