SDF Asks France To Impose No-Fly Zone Over Northeastern Syria

Click to see full-size image, By the Official Twitter account of the International Coalition for Operation Inherent Resolve.

On December 21, a co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), the political wing of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), called on France to establish a no-fly zone in northeastern Syria.

“We are asking France to help introduce a no-fly zone in the north of Syria,” Ilham Ahmed said during a press conference in Paris after a meeting with senior French officials.

Another co-chair of the SDC who also attended Paris meeting, Riad Darar, warned that any Turkish attack on northeastern Syria will allow radical groups to remerge in the area.

France didn’t release an official statement on the meeting. However, an Elysee palace official told the Reuters news agency that Paris had assured the SDC delegation that its support for them will continue despite the U.S. decision to withdraw from Syria.

“The advisers passed on a message of support and solidarity and explained to them the talks France had with U.S. authorities to continue the fight against Daesh [ISIS],” Reuters quoted the French official as saying.

A day earlier, France’s European Affairs Minister Nathalie Loiseau said that her country is not following Washington’s footsteps and withdrawing its forces from Syria. The Ministry of Defense of France is yet to confirm this.

France is likely trying to replace U.S. forces in Syria, but the country, that has less than 1,000 service members in Asia, will not likely be able to handle such a complex task on its own.

Zionism = EVIL

You forgot to mention New Caledonia which the froggies are occupying illegally.

oldman_60

There was a refetendum that showed ithere is still a majority of Caledonian people whi have chosen to stay with France. Let’s see what will happen in 2 years with another referendum.

FlorianGeyer

Or Denmark :)

Mind you the thought of French planes fighting Turkish planes would be a joy to behold .

Zionism = EVIL

hahaha as if the surrender monkey foggies can impose a “no fly zone” in a escargot pot. The problem is that the headchoppers have been abandoned by big daddy Americunts and are now licking anyone’s arse. The SAA will soon declare all of Syrian skies as hostile fly zone for all non-authorized aircraft. It has already been decided that Dr. Assad will control all of Syria.

Feudalism Victory

Yea France in the middle of nowhere surrounded by turkey iran and a russian allied syrian government. Sheerly impossible unless they go literally nuclear.

President Putin observing Israel since 1970. He told to Israel that stop butchering children and encroachment immediately. Now Israel advising Ukrainian regime against Russia. I feel 2019 is the last year of Israel. Israel 1948 to 2019.

After US army withdrawal then SDF beat the drums and French and British army will dance to them.

occupybacon

On soil yes, on air still the US ;)

Rob

Read the news carefully. Trump decision is for total withdrawal not for partial.

FlorianGeyer

In your dreams only.

Hasbara Hunter

Safe and Sound up high in the Air Throwing Phosphorus Bombs on Weddings & Civilians….& out of Harms way right? I think that is pretty Cowardly Behaviour….

Rodger

The US has been the only country in history to be foolish enough to support the Kurds. France and the UK have far more capable diplomats.

FlorianGeyer

” France and the UK have far more capable diplomats. ”

I do sometimes wonder about that and in fairness , compared to current US diplomacy standards, the Frogs and Brits have a very low bar to crawl over :)

AJ

Desperation coming from the SDF. France simply doesnt have the resources in the area to do this even with the help of UK, besides the whole thing is illegal without UN resolution which Russia would veto.

occupybacon

Wishful thinking. How about replacing UK with US in your phrase?

Tudor Miron

Yes, we Ukro’s and Kurds are very important. “All world is with us!” C’mon, wake up, Ukro! Most of you (other than fully sodomized western Ukraine) are our brothers. You just have no capacity to comprehend it. Come visit Moscow, talk to people on the streets (you can even carry ukro flag – no one will hurt you), look around, notice the difference. We actually have much more freedom than you do. No one cares about you other than us. 40% of Russians have relatives in Ukraine and 60% of Ukrainians have relatives in Russia. Think about it! You were talking about independence and as a result you became less than a colony of US. Poorest country in Europe. You sold your brothers Russians and your own Motherland for lace panties. Those of you who refused to obey to western coup you started to burn alive. You warship bloodthirsty pederast Bandera, who even German nazis considered a maniac for his cruelty towards civilians. While warshiping such nazi thinking you feel fine washing toilets in Poland and asking for their help (according to Bandera ideology you hate them at the same time). I could go on but you actually know it all. Soon, reality will start filtering through that lie bubble that you live in. That will be a rood awakening.

occupybacon

Cool story mate, can you tell me more about us Kurds and Ukrainians, I like your approach. Don’t forget the no-fly zone.

FlorianGeyer

The only airspace the French could safely use to get to the Eastern Euphrates is via Iraq from Jordan and I would think that Iraq will close that anyway. Syrian , Turkish and Iranian airspace will be off limits.

occupybacon

Nah, Iraq won’t do that because they can’t. USAF will be there for the French.

RichardD

That may be part of why the US is getting out as well.

FlorianGeyer

Yes, that’s a distinct possibility. The dynamics of the Iraqi leadership are set to change I think in the new year and will be more sympathetic to Iran.

FlorianGeyer

A rude awakening indeed Tudor. :)

Tudor Miron

Lol! Good to see traitors in total panic mode. French no fly zone! :) That really made my day.

ruca

Yes their ‘fighters’ will fly backwards. Yet another achievement for the Micro MF.

dutchnational

The largest mobile aireal force that France has is its aircarrier, which is, afaik, momentarily ondergoing a refit. Available somewhere next half year. It is doubtful France can supply airsupport from the base several countries use from within Jordan. To interdict Turkish airforce, France would have to deploys its Aster land based SAMPT system. Whether that is possible, I do not know.

John Whitehot

hey it’s been a while.

anyway, the SDF is crazy if they really believe that what they propose is doable. furthermore, the few hundreds of light infantry France has in the area will retreat at the earliest sign of a Turkish offensive.

Macron wants to appear strong to the French, and even more of a servant to zionist finance than Trump to his handlers. Except that if the Turks attack and the French take losses he would probably have to leave the country in haste, given the current internal situation.

the sdf probably released this statement just because they are shitting their pants.

Dicksonrp

Yea….run with his toilet paper in hand..

John Whitehot

nvm

Empereur de Jupitèr et tout le Monde Emmanuelle Macroni du Rothschild XVI appearing Strong??!!! To the French??!!! Hasbara Hunter

That Aircraft-carrier will Sink with Hypersonic Speed…. Long time no see how are you my Fellow Dutch Citizen?

FlorianGeyer

France and the UK probably think Turkey will allow them to use a NATO base in Turkey to attack the Turks :)

Hasbara Hunter

France and the United Kingdom started WWI & were Fully Responsible for the Start of WWII…..might this be a Desperate try to have France & the United Kingdom Start WWIII too? We have to admit France & Great Britain are very good in STARTING Wars….

Doubt that France will send Aster system or anything else. But at least Erdogan is not making a move yet. Are you a new guy to this forum dutch ? :DD

France’s nuke carrier Charles de Gaulle retrofit completed and was delivered back to its navy in mid-November. Some kind of carrier group qualifications going on now? Suppose to be deployed somewhere in January, so it will be available – for whatever that’s worth. Yeah, I know…

Brits have offered RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus before for French aircraft use against ISIS in Syria/Iraq. Not sure the RAF base would be so eager to get involved in a Franco-Turkish war. Akrotiri is, well, fairly vulnerable to pissed-off Turks. Brit pols DO need a distraction from brexit, so maybe they’ll join France. FUKUS minus the US, or the FUK Kurd Coalition. The comedic possibilities are endless. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/621dd46d6d8a06c541af98870de49144180423d43a4923eed187d6040efa382c.png

I understand the refit will include Trans Gender Toilets and Creche for babies born on board.

France does not have the resources to implement a no fly zone in north east Syria, Kurds should eat humble pie and reconcile with Damascus.

occupybacon

Will be called French but in fact it will be the US

Tudor Miron

Let’s talk about that no fly zone of yours in a week or so.

occupybacon

Mark my words: Russian aircraft base can’t cover eastern Syria. Though I wouldn’t mind it.

occupybacon

I’m sure they do, but that doesn’t mean they will shot at aircraft eastern to Euphrates or bomb Kurds. Not sure about Turkey, but I’m sure Russia will not do this mistake.

FlorianGeyer

The fact that Tiger forces are deploying to Deir Ezzor is indicative of Russian air support wherever Tigers go. There is also the Syrian airbase in Deir Ezzor city.

occupybacon

I wish you were right. Though I don’t believe Syria will retake its Eastern part too soon.

jorge

Lets wait and see.

Zionism = EVIL

French junk Rafales are most vulnerable to SAMS and even manpads can knock them out. The SAA should give a warning to all illegal aircraft and start shooting them down. The headchoppers are in real trouble and grasping at frog legs.

FlorianGeyer

And the Kurds and headchoppers will soon realise that Frogs Legs have very little ‘Meat on the Bone ‘.

If Syria-Russia does not use this USA withdraw to recover these areas (AL-Tanf and east Euphrates.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

I’ve been saying for months on SF that the US are about to pull out and let the French take over, and 2 days ago I posted there’d be a French/US imposed no fly zone in the east. But I predicted it won’t be established until after Erdogan has invaded and also made some big inroads into the oil and gas fields there, that’s when I predict the US/French no fly zone will go into effect, and then the Kurds/YPG, not the SDF, will kick the Turks out of all of Syria, not just the eastern regions. The Kurds will be fighting for Assad, no one else, not the French, not the US, not even the Russians, just for Assad and themselves, and they’ll only be attacking the Turks themselves, not their proxies, the Kurds will leave the proxies for the ex SDF who will join the SAA, and the SAA and the Russians will take care of all the Turks proxies leaving the Turks for the Kurds, who already have immunity from NATO and US retaliation, afterall they’ve been killing Turks in Syria for several years now and got away with it, and they’ll kill even more now and still get away with it. And NO, they won’t get self autonomy, they missed that chance, now they have to fight just to survive. And NO Trump hasn’t deserted them, he’s given them a full year to come to terms with Assad and reconcile, but they’ve been refusing to and holding out for something better, and that hasn’t worked out well. He also built all those shiny new OB posts and Radar installations for the French to use, I also posted many times they were being built for the French not the US. Trump isn’t deserting anyone, he’s helping everyone but Erdogan, he’s giving Erdogan enough rope to hang himself with, that’s all, and Putin’s doing the same thing too, but only I seem to understand what’s really happening, everyone else is in the dark as far as I can see from my fellow posters comments. The war in Syria was over [done and dusted] back in January, and all the major players in Syria killed off Erdogan back in June, if you have no idea what the hell I’m talking about, it’s because you’ve missed the most important events of the whole war, and the very reasons I say it’s already over, we’re just seeing the spasms of a dying corpse now, Erdogan’s corpse to be exact. Some of you just have to stop thinking of Trump and the US government as being the same thing, they’re not anymore, they’re 2 different entities now.

FlorianGeyer

France does not have the logistical ability to engage in Syria without US help and even then it is doubtful as the supply route can only come vis Jordan and Iraq. Iraq will likely say NON.

PZIVJ

I’m sure US will supply transport for the French retreat, Florian. :)

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Russia and Syria will provide, do you doubt it, I don’t. The US is leaving all the infrastructure there, they haven’t said it yet but keep an eye out, you won’t see the radar systems and the like going home to the US, the French will just take over everything and make it theirs. All the SDF light armoured vehicles will go to the SAA too, and all the non Kurdish forces will join the SAA, and the Kurds alone will become something different, something special. The only person that will have to worry about logistics is Erdogan, if he invades from the north as I suspect he will, he’ll have the PKK in Turkey smashing his supply routes, if he attacks from the east as he says he will, he’ll have the YPG smashing his supply routes. All’s good in the world just in time for Christmas too.

FlorianGeyer

I doubt the French will stay the course.

There is also the matter of two NATO members fighting each other. Perhaps that is what Trump wants as a defeat for France in Syria would disrupt the ability of France to form an EU Army.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

France germany and England all have a score to settle with Erdogan, they don’t like their own domestic political interests being dictated to by Erdogan, who has been very successful in manipulating all theses countries Muslim populations into voting along lines that suit Erdogan, I think they have just as much reason to get rid of Erdogan as the Kurds do, they’ll stay the course, it’s in their own best interests. Erdogan has to go, no one wants him to stay.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

I think they will stay the course unless domestic issues at home force the Issue, expenditure, loss of personnel, but that’s always possible. Before the riots I would have said highly likely they’d stay the course, since the riots I’ll change that to most likely. As to 2 NATO countries fighting each other, no, it won’t come to that, deaths on both sides by accidental strikes on misidentified targets, highly likely though. The US would’ve had a much harder time confronting the Turks, US bases, nuclear missiles, and a very badly fracturing relationship, very complicated. The French don’t have the same sort of relationship with Turkey and have far less to lose in a worsening of relations with Erdogan. The French and Germans, and to a lesser extent Britain, have a bone to pick with Erdogan himself, not the Turks just Erdogan. The US howl about Russia meddling in their elections but they have nothing to complain about, if they had to put up with Erdogan meddling in their elections the way these 3 countries do, they’d go to war against Turkey. Erdogan gets not only the Turks living in these countries to vote along lines that suit him internationally, he also gets strong support from the other ethnic groups that are also Muslim and agree to his ideology. He encourages them through the media to vote in favour of things that don’t necessarily benefit the country they’re living in, and sometimes in fact to the detriment of the countries they’re living in. Erdogan has to go.

PZIVJ

“until after Erdogan has invaded and also made some big inroads into the oil and gas fields there” That’s a long way! Turks would have to take the border first. Syria and Russia will not be sitting idly by waiting for it to happen. Russian MP’s in Manbij VERY SOON is my prediction. :)

Willing Conscience (The Truths

That’s only if Erdogan does what he says he’s going to do and invades from the west, do you believe him, I don’t, I see a lot of Turkish activity in the north Ar Raqqah and Al Hasakah lately, I’m looking northeast not west.

Pave Way IV

And soon you’ll have to stop thinking of the PYD and YPG/YPJ as the same ‘Kurd’ entity – they never were the same thing.

The PYD is a CIA/MOSSAD construct – a political party dictating their iron-fisted, warped-ass ideology under a cloak of Kurd nationalism. THEY don’t represent any Syrian Kurds. THEY only represent themselves (and their masters). THEY insisted on full autonomy when negotiating with Assad.

Nobody asked the ‘little people’ YPG/YPJ what they think. The YPG/YPJ willingly acquiesced to the PYD in the fight against head-choppers. They will do the same when fighting the Turks AND their head-choppers (they don’t get to choose). The last nail in the coffin for the YPG/YPJ’s subjugation to the PYD will come when the SAA shows up. The PYD will cede nothing back to Syria. The YPG/YPJ will decide the PYD no longer has their best interests in mind and fire them.

Macron’s France and military will be on the PYD’s side, not on the YPG/YPJ’s side. That’s where it all falls to shit if France does get involved. What would you do if you were Macron? How about what he’s best at: nothing at all.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

All Kurds are different just like all people are different. The PYD is pro Kurdish independence, pro greater kurdistan, anti Turkish, pro PKK, pro Iraqi PUK, pro US, were pro Assad, then anti Assad , now back to pro Assad, and they have the biggest numbers of all the Kurdish political groups in Syria, and the YPG is just the armed militia of the PYD, they are the same political party, not 2 different parties, and the YPG are the only major fighting force of Kurds in Syria full stop, in the SDF they have 35,000 alone, and in other factions of the YPG or it’s affiliates they have at least another 10,000. None of the other Kurdish political parties have anywhere near that number of fighters in their militias or ready to fight, even the KDPS only has hundreds of fighters in their militia, and they’re really classed as a security force, not an army, the PYD won’t let them have one. KDPS is the other major party in Syria, they’re affiliated with the KDP in Iraq and another political party in Turkey too. they are pro Assad, pro Turkish, pro Iraqi KDP anto Iraqi PUK and want peace above anything and don’t want the trouble independence will bring when and if they demand it, but even some of them will fight if Erdogan starts blowing up their families by accident. The French are there to protect all the Kurds, and all the Arabs, all the Christians, and everybody else that needs protecting, they’re there for another reason too, they don’t like what Erdogan’s been doing to France or the EU for that matter, they want the Turks out nearly as much as the Kurds do.

Robert McMaster

Aliens please protect us! Because almighty pissant “France” might have the arrogance to stick its nose into where it will be abandoned and lopped off. Surely, the French can see the exposure.

Who does Emmanuel Macron owe?

by Thierry Meyssan

President Macron is often presented as a Rothschild Boy. This is true, but secondary. Thierry Meyssan demonstrates that he owes his electoral campaign mostly to Henry Kravis, the boss of one of the world’s largest financial companies, and to NATO – a considerable debt which weighs heavily today on the solution to the Yellow Vests crisis.

VOLTAIRE NETWORK | DAMASCUS (SYRIA) | 11 DECEMBER 2018

عربي ESPAÑOL FRANÇAIS ITALIANO ROMÂNĂ TÜRKÇE ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΆ DEUTSCH PORTUGUÊS РУССКИЙ

http://www.voltairenet.org/article204303.html

Emmanuel Macron did not feel destined for a career in politics. As a young man, he hoped to become a philosopher, then a senior civil servant, then a business banker. To help him on his way, he frequented Uncle Sam’s fairy godmothers – the French-American Foundation and the German Marshall Fund of the United States.

It was in this milieu that he met Henry and Marie-Josée Kravis, in their residence on Park Avenue in New York [1]. The Kravis couple, unfailing supporters of the US Republican Party, are among the great world fortunes who play politics out of sight of the Press. Their company, KKR, like Blackstone and the Carlyle Group, is one of the world’s major investment funds.

« Emmanuel’s curiosity for the ’can-do attitude’ was fascinating – the capacity to tell yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to. He had a thirst for knowledge and a desire to understand how things work, but without imitating or copying anyone. In this, he remained entirely French », declares Marie-Josée Drouin (Mrs. Kravis) today [2].

Bearing the double recommendation of the Kravis couple and Jean-Pierre Jouyet [3], he integrated the closed circle of François Hollande’s campaign team. In an e-mail addressed to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Director of political planning Jake Sullivan named the four principal members of the Socialist candidate’s campaign team, including the unknown Emmanuel Macron. He specified that Macron would probably become the Director General of the Treasury (« the top civil servant at the Finance Ministry ») [4].

However, when François Hollande was elected, Emmanuel Macron became the assistant General Secretary of the Elysée, a more political function. It seems that he had ambitions to succeed Jean-Pierre Jouyet as Director of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (the Deposits and Consignments Fund), a post which was entrusted in May 2014 to the General Secretary of the Elysée. A few days later, proposed by the Kravis couple, he was invited to the Bilderberg Club, where he delivered a violent intervention in perfect English against his boss, François Hollande. When he returned to Paris, he resigned from Hollande’s cabinet.

The Kravis couple are among the main pillars of the Bilderberg Club, which is administered by Marie-Josée Drouin-Kravis. Contrary to a commonly-held belief, the Bilderberg is not a place where decisions are made. Its archives attest to the fact that it was created by the CIA and MI6, then became an organ of influence for NATO, which directly looks after its security [5]. Since Macron’s intervention had been well received, he became one of NATO’s men in France.

Having left politics, he had no desire to return. He explained to his entourage on a number of occasions that he wanted to become a university professor. With the help of essayist Alain Minc (admitted to the Bilderberg Club in 2008), he obtained a post at the university of Berlin and another at the London School of Economics, but was unable to find a place at Harvard.

However, in August 2014, three months after having « left politics », and on a proposition by Jean-Pierre Jouyet (admitted in 2009 to the Bilderberg Club), he was named by François Hollande as Minister of the Economy, Industry and Digital Technology.

In a book published in 2018, François Hollande assured that this choice had been his idea [6]. That may be, but would suppose that he had not been informed about Macron’s intervention at the Bilderberg meeting – although one of his Ministers and close friend Fleur Pélerin had also been present.

In December 2014, Henry Kravis created his own Intelligence agency, the KKR Global Institute. He nominated at its head the ex-Director of the CIA, General David Petraeus. With the Kravis couple’s private funds (the KKR investment funds), and without referring to Congress, Petraeus pursued operation « Timber Sycamore » which had been initiated by President Barack Obama. This was the largest weapons traffic in History, implicating at least 17 states and representing many thousands of tons of weapons worth several billion dollars [7]. As such, Kravis and Petraeus became the main suppliers for Daesh [8].

The French President of Bilderberg, Henri de Castries, invited the Deputy Mayor of Le Havre, Edouard Philippe, to the annual meeting, which on this occasion was held in June 2015 in Austria. Philippe was to be re-invited in May 2016, this time in Germany. During the presidential campaign in France, both Henri de Castries and Edouard Philippe supported François Fillon, but dropped him as soon as Jean-Pierre Jouyet [9] handed the Canard Enchaîné the financial documents collected by the Inspectorate of Finances concerning the suspicious employment of Madame Fillon [10]. They then joined Emmanuel Macron’s camp.

In April 2016, Emmanuel Macron founded his political formation En Marche!, whose marketing strategy was copied from that of Kadima (Forward!), Ariel Sharon’s pretended non-right, non-left party. As for Macron’s programme, it was built on the notes of the OCDE [11] and those of the Institut Montaigne, of which Henri de Castries was president. In fact, En Marche! was created in the offices of the Institut. But Castries fooled Fillon into believing that this was pure coincidence , and that he did not support Macron. He continued for months telling Fillon that he was ready to become his Prime Minister.

Initially, the financing of En Marche! was not supervised. It was a simple association which was allowed to receive gifts from abroad. The names of the sponsors were not revealed to the Tax Office. Arch-billionaire Henry Kravis was one of them.

During his campaign, Emmanuel Macron regularly met with the ex-President of the IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn (« DSK »). These workshop meetings were denied until they were revealed by Le Parisien, much later, when his reputation as a sexual pervert had died down. DSK (admitted to the Bilderberg Club in 2000) brought both the support of senior government officials and that of French company management – the sociological alliance which had supported the collaborationist régime of Philippe Petain and reformed again in the 1980’s around the Fondation Saint-Simon.

In June 2018, the Minister for Youth and National Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, was invited on the proposition of Henri de Castries to the annual meeting of the Bilderberg Club, which was held this time in Italy. This lawyer, a specialist in Constitutional law, has always linked political science and education. He was one of the three central directors of the Ministry for Education, then director of the prestigious Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC). He has known Castries for many years, frequenting him at the Institut Montaigne.

When the Yellow Vests crisis began in France [12], it quickly became evident that this was a profound problem which could only be resolved by addressing the question of global finance, which President Macron can not do. During his electoral campaign, he surprised sponsors at a dinner in New York by making accusations against the financialisation of the economy. It was no more than electoral rhetoric. He was taken to task by the Mr. and Mrs. Kravis – financialisation is the system that enables them to operate the « leveraged buy-outs », which have made them what they are.

Faced with the Yellow Vest movement, President Macron will have to sacrifice his Prime Minister as an expiatory victim during the next elections (the European elections of May 2019, which will certainly be lost). But apart from the fact that he has to hang on for five more months, who is there to replace him? When you owe the financing of your electoral campaign and the choice of your Prime Minister to NATO, it is unthinkable to replace him without first referring to the Alliance. The ideal candidate for the job would therefore be Jean-Michel Blanquer.

Thierry Meyssan

You are welcome !

It’s a choice in-between a troll’s onomatopoeia, or to give a wake-up analyse and information ?

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote letter to a friend, at the end he said

“I am sorry to have written a long letter, but I didn’t have time for a short one” ….

Empire's Frontiers

It’s a good thing France installed all those S300 batteries.

The Kurds can rest easy!

antoun

Traitors will do as traitors do. The only no-fly zone the French are capable of is to ground their own aircraft. SDF you bastards will pay in the end.

Zionism = EVIL

The froggy cowards airfarce did not fly a single mission when their German masters invaded and were in Paris in 18 hours with whole froggy military shamelessly surrendering. The whole French airforce either surrendered or joined the Luftwaffe and not a single German plane was challenged. Most of corrupt French were Nazis anyway as the Vichy regime amply showed.

Xanatos

So much for the claim that the Kurds aren’t traitors. Still trying to make a land grab? How about Syrians returned the insult and grabbed irbil?
