SDF Calls On US President-Elect To Recognize Its Administration In Northeastern Syria

File iamge

Sinam Mohamad, a representative of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) political wing in Washington, has called on US President-elect Joe Biden to recognize the group’s administration in northeastern Syria, the Al-Monitor reported on December 30.

Mohamad made her appeal during a think tank event attended by US former Syrian envoy James Jeffrey and Michael P. Mulroy, a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for the Middle East.

“We call on the Biden administration to recognize North and East Syria,” Mohamad said.

The representative said the SDF is in a military partnership with the US, arguing that Washington should translate this cooperation politically.

According to Mohamad, the SDF needs the US recognition to receive support for humanitarian issues and development projects in northeastern Syria.

Biden, who is set to assume office in a few weeks, has already voiced his support to the US presence in northeastern Syria. However, it remains very unlikely that any US administration would officially recognize the Kurdish-proclaimed autonomy as a legitimate state actor.

In an article published recently by the Washington-based Wilson Center, former envoy Jeffery warned the SDF against declaring autonomy or seeking independence from Syria.

The SDF appears to be planning to take advantage of Biden’s pro-intervention stand on Syria in order to establish a de-facto state in the northeastern region. These plans will likely endanger the very presence of the Kurdish-led group as it will provoke the region’s Arab majority.

witless and cueless – turkey and syria and iran and iraq should asap put the kurds back where they belong – as tenants in the borderlands. the sovereign kurdish statelet doesn’t exist and even if it’s a figment on the kurdish brain (small and insignificant) it won’t turn into factual development.

Jens Holm

Those nelowed friends of Yours instead should go backt o,wherethey came from, where there are no or almost no Kurds.

And You lie again telling most Kurds want a sovereig state. Only some very few fanatics says so. So here You first blame for something, which they never has said and thenYou even blame them for it.

Maybee Your kind of people should be crusified with the heads upside down and see how the rest of world know facts about it.

Repeating like that makes You less clever then any parrot I know.

They not even was asked to be with You or nat as well. Your belowed Syrians not even liberated themself. Kurds also was in their areas long time before Shammars and Turks arrived.

there is plot of land …called a Nevada desert (radioactive zone used for cold war nuke testing)…. un-populated,warm …. perfect for creation of the “SDF-land” or Kurdistan or similar …

Jens Holm

Nevada is no reactive zone. The seize i 1,5 times Syria.

It do have those deserts for military use but the income is very and it also has farmning by Hoover Dam, which also makes a lot of electricity.

It known for marriges and fx entertainment by Fx Reno and Las Vegas. .

Again we see people are forbidden or dont care to relate to fx the Syrian – Iraqian deserts even they in many ways are semilar.

Fx You in Syria and Iraq has very high populaion density and water making electricity by both Eufrat, Tigris and Khabour until the leftover water reach the sea. They also has a corner of the Coloradoriver.

Kurds also dont live in deserts and are the main producers of wheat for bread for the whole Syria. In Syria they live in the dry land named steppe and desert. Here they in 4 month grow a lot and then its corret most thinbgs are dry and they hgave to find food for theur animals whereever it goes.

I take it again: Its steppe.

5 gives minus – whats incorrect ????

The so called yellow land should be taken quickly a few hours before the inauguration, so the new “president” doesn’t have a chance to recognize it, nor to start a war in his first hours as “president” I’m sure Iran is thinking of this scenario, with Sy and Russia

HiaNd

Iran is thinking of that and many other scenarios, like every serious country. Doesn’t mean it will happen that way. Russia would participate in something similar only for tactical reasons… IF the NATO troops would invade Ukraine (as introduction into WW-3). Russia would than push US out of Syria, to secure region (for better security of their bases).

biden too senile to recognize the difference between Harris and Zelensky

Jens Holm

Biden is no senile at all. The way he remembers is not uncommon at all.

Its more as if the brain dont remember, what You says and next continue as the rest is not connected much as a lamp or a machine for a moment change things.

Nice

We’ll find out after Jan 6th, then congress will officially decide, will it be a civil war?

nyomarek

I think there is a new US Computer Initiative on the way: they want to model all powerful Computer Memory Modules in the US to be built based on Bidet’s vast memory capabilities.

Jens Holm

Thats a good idea. They have their problems over there :) – :( = minus

Frank

Frankly, this is a just a SDF wank, the axis of resistance is getting stronger and bigger as more nations join in.

Algeria and Yemen’s Houthi calls for expulsion of US forces from Middle East and defeat of Israel

Simplekindof Man

Assad should tell the SDF that IF they recapture the stollen land from the Turks they could have that.LOL

Fog of War

The ‘ole drip drip method. Its not like we didn’t see this coming .

Fog of War

Additionally, isnt it great that the SAA and Russia are helping the SDF out ? They must like being constantly spit on.

Jens Holm

Its a relative much like Stalin and Rosewelt didnt like Hitler.

As long as Assads dont change to the better making changes and reforms, they will be eroded away and soon only found as pictures and in local zoos.

Alejandro Bonifacio

kurds never learn, they need to understand they belong a various nations and forget the ilusion of kurdish “state”

Tommy Jensen

SDF has showed they are also like an American. They have women equality, gay marriages and green clima ecology where they also want to save the nature and our polluted plastic planet.

SDF decide everything in a politbureau with 98% democratic voter support and care for vulnerable minorities and tax and fine all capitalist swine to the last blood drop.

Jens Holm

Haha. Not bad and almost a funny version.

Tempting to make an Assad setup and compare.

JIMI JAMES

Having isis partners legit is like having massive do’minion liberal massive ballot boxes which implode at any given moment of time, hundreds of tousands of the fkrz!

Willing Conscience (The Truths

And provoke everyone else too. I miss Trump already. The US have been putting all their eggs in the one basket and it’s the same basket the Russian, Iranians, and the Turks have all putting their eggs into as well, and the basket’s name or title is resolution 2254, and it’s getting to be a very heavy basket now with all theses eggs in it. Assad’s the one carrying the extremely heavy resolution 2254 basket and his legs are looking a little shaky, so just one misstep from him and he could drop that heavy basket and accidentally crack a few of those eggs, and wouldn’t that make the US, Turkey, Iran, and Russia cry. Take the rockiest path you can find Assad, break all the eggs.

Potato Man

LMFAO even if Biden did that…what they think gonna happen? How will did other US shi** went down in ME? led that fuking ape cry so more, he hide under his mother dress.
