The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) found loads of weapons, which had been abandoned by ISIS fighters, in the newly-liberated areas in the middle Euphrates River Valley during a search operation on February 14.
The group’s press center said that the weapons included a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED), ten 120mm mortar canons and a 122mm artillery piece. Photos released by the center also show loads of ammunition of different calibers and dozens of machine guns.
In the course of the search operation, the SDF also found the corpses of at least 26 ISIS fighters, who had been killed during the recent clashes around the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The UK-based monitoring group added that the Kurdish-dominated group is removing dozens of mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which had been planted by the terrorist group’s fighters.
The remaining ISIS fighters and commanders are currently besieged within two camps north of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani. A day earlier, the SOHR said that the terrorists’ defeat will be announced very soon. However, this is yet to happen.

An interesting detail, the SDF men discovering the weapons realized they’d been trained by the Americans on every single platform the ISIS men had available to them.
It is an internal weapons transfer among CIA sponsored proxies.

Looks like these weapons are captured stores from when ISIS was on the rise, although none of it looks maintained. That is not surprising, as they have no one to teach them how to use these weapons, but they did rob half the fertile crescent (even taking radioactive material from a university in Mosul).

The SDF will probably keep these weapons to use against the Syrian army. With the blessing of their overseers, of course.
With the Syrian army back in control of their roads and border crossings, it seems the flow of foreign arms has dried up. Only the useful idiots remain and they are left to die and provide rear guard for escaping foreign security personnel. Meanwhile the rank & file that want to leave the trenches have been told that they can but their heads have to stay.
