On December 5, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that they had killed 228 fighters of ISIS repelling several attacks by the terrorist group in the middle Euphrates River Valley over the last three days.
“All the axes [fronts] are still witnessing intermittent clashes until the time of writing this report,” the SDF media center said.
During the clashes, US-led coalition warplanes supported SDF fighters on the ground by conducting more than 115 airstrikes on ISIS positions, gatherings and vehicles in the Euphrates Valley.
According to the SDF media center, ISIS lost the following facilities and equipment during the clashes:
- 35 fortifications;
- 23 frontline positions;
- 3 communication centers;
- 2 mortar positions;
- 3 bulldozers;
- 6 military vehicles;
- 7 motorcycles;
- 7 heavy machine guns;
- 1 anti-aircraft gun.
The SDF didn’t reveal its own loses. However, local observers expect that many US-backed fighters were killed and injured by ISIS. A similar situation happened during the previous wave of the terrorist group’s attacks in the period from October to November.

Funny… IS still doesn’t seem to run out of troops. This is the same “body count” mentality from Viet Nam. It was bullshit then, and things haven’t improved.
227 Isis deaths were caused by US airstrikes and Iraq artillery, and the other one by accidentally shooting himself. As to the Arab and Christian SDF ground forces, they probably inflicted NO ISIS CASUALTIES whatsoever, but lost [either captured and killed] at least half the number Isis did, probably 114. I’m only joking of course, I just made that up, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if my numbers are close and that the US bombing is also responsible for most of the Isis casualties.
