Early on October 12, the Turkish military and the so-called Syrian National Army (NSA) managed to reach the strategic M4 highway after capturing eighteen villages in the northern countryside of al-Hasakah and Raqqa.

“The forces were able to liberate eighteen villages which are: Nus Tell, Rajm Anuah, Umm Jurn al-Sauauin, Jamous, Lazkah, al-Aridah, Hwiran, al-Wasta, Shukan, al-Trauziyah, al-Zayidi, al-Nabhan, al-Khalidiah, al-Khuir al-Kabirah, al-Khuir al-Saghirah, al-Filo, al-Ghujir and Ghuzil,” the NSA said in a short press release.

Local sources confirmed that the M4 highway, which links al-Hasakah, Raqqa and Aleppo, is now blocked by Turkish forces.

According to the Turkish Ministry of National Defence, a total of 415 fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and other Kurdish group have been killed, injured or captured since the beginning of Operation Peace Spring in northeast Syria.

Turkish forces are now taking advantage of the collapse in the SDF’s defenses and advancing around the key border town of Ras al-Ayn in northern al-Hasakah. The town will likely fall within a few hours.

The first phase of Operation Peace Spring is aimed at establishing a 120 km long, 30km deep “safe zone” in northeast Syria.

“The forces were able to liberate eighteen villages.” “Liberate.” Straight out of George Orwell.

Its actually rather satisfying to witness two NATO members engaging in Double Speak against each other :)

Zionism = EVIL

No one should be surprised at the Kurd turds collapse, they are simply cowards and pimps. No serious military analyst ever expected them to fight, the second largest NATO army. The Kurds are no Hezbollah or Ansarallah, but photo-op western media and Zionist pansy “warriors”. The cowardly fuckers have not even scored a hot on a Toyota hi-lux, the Turks are amazed at their own easy success, but I am not. I knew the Kurd turds will simply not fight.

igybundy

They lost their only kurd majority city in less than a month and they had years to prepare against ground offensives against al queda and everyone else. With a 400km border its impossible to build fortifications and the turks will just bypass it and attack from the rear. Now not only will the kurds lose the areas the occupied for the last 100 years, they will be replaced with arabs. Its like the last 100 years never happened. kurds will go back to nomadic sheep herding now.

Zionism = EVIL

You have a good grasp of reality my friend. I never had any respect for Kurds considering their devious backstabbing opportunist history.

Uncle Meat

No matter how you (or anyone in particular) spin it, the Kurds played a part in the Armenian genocide. Bet they wish the last 100 (105) years never happened. I get your sarcasm, however.

Used by foreign invaders for hours and years to sacrifice for their interest. Dump and abandon to loose out departioning of Syria in seconds.Never betray your fellow countrymen for US dollars,Euros and British £.

Pay back time for killing of tribal leaders, regional arabs and Muslims from Raqqa and Al Hasaka.Trump and Putin have run away.Allah is hiding in Mecca. Erdogan the Allah of terrorists is coming run SDF for your life bullets is finished.

Saso Mange

It’s disgusting to see those terrorist affiliated FSA thugs talking about liberation. In Idlib they are cooperating with all of the scum who made terror all over Syria. True terror nest and now they got chance to expand under Turkey. I just hope that Erdogan ditches them and make diplomatic ties with Damascus.

Peter Jennings

Erdogan is simply replacing one terrorist unit for another. If you can’t beat them, join them eh? When the dust had settled, i do not suppose that the NSA, under Turkish control, will want to return the land back to Syrian control until they have taken a very long look at the oilfields throughout the area.

Erdogan will use the excuse of mopping up terrorists cells in northern Syria for years to come whilst his NSA make out like the bandits they are. Will the Russian admin allow Erdogan and NSA to roam freely in northern Syria? Personally, i cannot see President Putin or President Assad stand by whilst one problem is swapped for another. Whatever happens it should be interesting, and nobody will be sad to see the back of Al Qaeda, ISIS, IS. the Helmets, or whatever self title they give themselves.

Xoli Xoli

Hundred 100% person correct but under Astana agreement that legacy of Erdogan are not permitted. Even his NSA is not legal. Erdogan dearly wants to replace USA, France Britain, Israel,Jordan and Saudi Arabia UAE proxies with his own.

For now let the shabir Erdogan with woman gown and table cloth on his head disarmed SDF.When Russia tried in 2017 Two hundred Russian sub contractor soldiers and Russian commanders were killed. Which Putin fundamentally denied happening.

Peter Jennings

It wasn’t just President Putin who denied the event happened. Quite a few journalists also said there was no basis for the report and that it was probably just nato propaganda.

Xoli Xoli

Turkey is the only country who can disarm USA NATO Israel protected departioning SDF.SAA,Russia and Iran are the only countries who can disarmed or pushed out Turkey.Due to SDF interference Syria cant get oil legally from Iran or Ol Omar oilfields.

The Turks shutting down the secessionist Zionist Kurd Israelistan project is a good thing. Replacing it with their own demographically engineered secessionist terror state filled with fugitives from justice and regime change terrorists is a case of two wrongs don’t make a right.

Given their history of regime change terrorism against Syria and all of the talk about a $27 billion demographic engineering project in Turkish occupied Syria. Believing what Erdogan says about maintaining Syrian territorial integrity is like believing Trump’s double speak. Only a fool would do it.

abuqahwa

Well balanced comment – Syria continues to fight for its very existence as a nation state against Turkish invasions (Afrin, n.Aleppo) incursions (Idlib) on the one hand, and secessionist Kurds backed by regime-change warmonger NATO. Whatever eventuates east of Euphrates there is a long, long way to go to liberate NE Syria from all invaders

RichardD

It would be to everyone’s benefit if the Turks entered into an alliance with the Syrian government coalition. Stopped supporting the Idlib terrorists. Abandoned the Yinon plan demographic engineering secessionist terror state “safe zone” plan. Which is starting to look a lot like the vermin Jew rape of Palestine. Helped put a non fly zone in place over NE Syria with their air force and S-400s to keep the Zionist axis of terror out of Syrian skys and prevent it from attacking Syria from Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Lebanon. And opened a two front war against the SDF. With the Turks advancing south to the M4 and severing the SDF Iraqi Kurdistan nexus. And the Syrian government coalition advancing NE across the river to the M4 and Iraqi border.

This would bring the war to close much faster. Save a lot of lives and money. And bring peace to Syria sooner rather than later.

Kandinski

But they will cut of Hasaka and Qamishli.

RichardD

Sooner or later the no fly zone over Syria needs to be expanded from west of the river to east of the river. It’s the only way to restore Syrian government administration east of the river. The sooner that it’s done the sooner that the Syrain government coalition can role up the SDF south of the Turkish front line and neutalize the Zionist Kurd half of the joint Turkish Kurd bifurcated terror state currently forming east of the river.

Syria will be forced to take Western International usury loans, one way or another. This is what this is all about.

Tudor Miron

Yes, Tommy I agree that this is what this is all about. But I would say that West will try to force Western usury loans one way or another. Thing is that now West has much less of a leverage to force their way in ME and Syria in particular. But I suspect that it will be done via China. Atlantic wing of global predictor is being replaced by its Eastern wing but at the core that’s just the same society concept – crowd/elite society with usury being one of its major corner stones.

igybundy

funny how it takes months for the SAA to destroy al queda defences and these great kurdish runners drop and run in a day itself.

Tommy Jensen

Its because Al Queda is backed by Israel, Turkey, USA, France, UK, Saudi, UAE and Russia back Israel, SDF back USA and Israel. It makes it a little bit difficult for SAA backed by Iran to get through.
