On September 22, the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) clashed with ISIS fighters, who attempted to advance towards key positions in the vicinity of the town of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to the SDF media center.
US-led coalition warplanes supported SDF fighters and conducted 10 airstrikes on tunnels, positions and vehicles of ISIS around al-Baghuz al-Fawqani. The SDF media center said that 25 fighters of the terrorist group were killed as a result of the clashes and the coalition airstrikes.

The SDF, backed by the US-led coalition, launched a large-scale military operation to eliminate the last ISIS-held pocket in the Euphrates Valley on September 11. Since then, US-backed forces have managed to liberate al-Baghuz al-Fawqani only.
The next target of the SDF is the town of al-Susah, north of al-Baghuz al-Fawqani. Local observers believe that the ground attack on the town will begin within a few days.
Nice video.
