The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have foiled a new attempt to smuggle ISIS wives out of the notorious al-Hawl Camp in northeast Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on August 29.
According to the UK-based monitoring group, security personnel working in al-Hawl plotted to smuggle eight women and 25 children out from the camp. The plot was, however, uncovered and foiled by the SDF’s security forces, Asayish.
“Security forces uncovered an escape attempt near the main fence after arresting two personnel, one of the People’s Protection Units and the other of internal security forces, they were coordinating with the women to facilitate their escape,” the SOHR’s report reads.
The SOHR revealed in its report that the al-Hawl Camp expiriences escape attempts by ISIS wives and their children on a dail basis.
Earlier this month, Kurdish sources revealed that Asayish foiled a plot to smuggle five Russian women affiliated with ISIS from al-Hawl Camp along with their children.
The al-Hawl camp, which is located in eastern al-Hasakah, is hosting 67,000 people, including 40,000 family members of ISIS fighters. An entire section of the camp is dedicated for foreign wives of ISIS terrorists. The SDF is running the camp with support from the U.S.-led coalition.
So SDF is like a prison guard now:))
Imagine living with an ISIS “wife”, far more lethal than Lorena Bobbit with a knife. Gives a new meaning to dickchopper and headchopper husband :)
