As reported, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have handed liberated Manbij to the Manbij Military Council (MMC) and left the city.
On Friday, the Manbij Military Council (MMC) announced that the campaign for liberation the countryside of the city of Manbij is currently ongoing, while all military points of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were handed to the council.
Reportedly, the statement was made after Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Ankara expects that the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YGP) that is the leading force of the SDF will withdraw from Manbij.
According to the Council, the SDF help allowed to liberate many villages in the countryside of Manbij, while the SDF defensive lines in the north frontlines from the countryside to the Euphrates River were reinforced by the forces.
“We as the MMC declare to the public opinion that the SDF after they took out Daesh [ISIS] from Manbij and their heroic support to us, they have handed all military points in the city to the Manbij Military Council,” the ARA press agency quoted the words of the council. “We in the MMC thank the SDF for all their efforts and sacrifice to serve our people in Manbij and all of Syria.”
“As we understood the plan with our partners that the YPG would indeed go to the eastern side of the Euphrates River when the battle was over. The battle’s not over yet. They’ve still got work that they’re doing in their clearing,” ARA quoted the words of US-led coalition spokesman, Colonel Christopher Garver. “They are now clearing through areas of the city through which Daesh retreated, looking for small pockets of Daesh fighters. Their stated aim is to make the city safe for civilians to return,” he said on Tuesday.
“This clearance is slow, difficult and dangerous because Daesh left behind a significant number of IEDs as they retreated, as we have seen them do many times when they retreat,” Garver added. “This work will take time. Outside the city, the SDF are reinforcing their positions in the immediate vicinity of the city to protect against Daesh local counterattacks.”
Firstly it is US led SDF, not Kurdish led. Secondly, while there may be IED booby trapped buildings, let us not be under any illusion that what is really taking time is the clean up operation to get rid of any incriminating evidence!
Not nice written Goingbrokers.
More like propaganda making Kurds much smaller, then they are. There are given good numbers for a lot of things, and You are given a lot of pictures and videos as well.
US wouldnt be there at all without enough troops on the ground. And that kind of infanterists going into rural areas cant do it witout heavy support as artillery for both walls and people or aeroplanes(or specialized heayvy armed vehicles).
I have followed it day by day. Nothing is hidden. Of course You can find dirty laundry where human beings are, but so far we havent seen any indications for anything unusuel – I think.
Should they have killed 100 leaving ISIS and ket them detonate hostages and families. War and hostages used as ISIS does is well known. You could come with something Yourself.
But so far I take it llike trying to be a clever Assad og Erdogan.
I can only see, they have killed a lot of well educated ISIS. Assad wouldnt be there at all without kurds and helping hands from Nato. Others than US are important players too.We have the terror in Europe from iSIS – as earlier from Kaida.
So what evidence ar eYpu loooking for ??
Colonel Christopher Garver, who by the way allowed ISIS column safe exit after disarming them leaves many more questions than answers. How can they “detonate hostages” if they have been disarmed? I think the US allowed them (ISIS) and their families to leave (not hostages) to be redeployed to terrorize for another day. Deployment of these mercenaries from Libya to Syria along with weapons and supply is a well known fact for some time now.
lets hope not. Unarmed could – to me – also say – they only had several bombelts on an no other weapons.
Cant see any sign of USA supporting ISIS.
Jens, are you kidding? You have followed this closely? MSM?
Assad wouldn’t be there at all if helping hands from NATO (US mafia enforcers) had been successful and had their way! Look at all the NATO and their coalitions in Europe with Serbia and Ukraine. Then follow up from false flag 9/11 till now in Asia and ME.

I do follow.very much an has done it for years.
Nothing wrong being in coalitions and try to unite Europe and the world a little more. That doesnt mean, there i no problems, but they have to be compared and not being stand alone acts – as You write it.
There is more to this equation than people who only relate to power in its terms of global dominance as the main concerns and barely mention Treasure, Commons and Inalienable Rights of nations and citizens if mentioned at all. There is no mention of the production of wealth by industries that actually create wealth versus those that create markets and global manipulation of capital.
The Broken Chessboard: Brzezinski Gives Up on Empire http://www.opednews.com/articles/The-Broken-Chessboard-Brz-by-Mike-Whitney-1997_Empire-State_Hegemony_Hillary-Clinton-160825-364.html
The following quote from this article is a great statement of people who only relate to power in its terms of global dominance: “As its era of global dominance ends, the United States needs to take the lead in realigning the global power architecture.”
The attitude of Empire drips from it, “”…prevent collusion…among the vassals.” Incompetence is abundance in various power groups of corporate, military industrial complex and banking to name a few. Fascism is how we must relate to the collusion that has and is still destroying our country and the rest of the world.
Compare the transnational cabals’ destruction of countries/ nations to gain the Treasure, Commons and Inalienable Rights of their citizens. The never ending wars are a casino gamble just as the capital markets that do not create nations’ real wealth but destroys it. Both bring the same destruction. All Babylonian empires have collapsed from the same issues, and we are now seeing the desperation of the current empire and vassals as collapse approaches.
A big part of the equation: The Empire Files: ‘This Ship is Sinking’ Says Former Bush Official https://youtu.be/kgig1QVU2lY U.S. Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson (Ret.) is the perfect example of what I call the “Old Anglo Guard”, i.e. the product of the pre-Neocon US Anglo imperialist culture. He completely fails to see how “his people” gave birth, so to speak, to the Neocon takeover of the USA. Still, he clearly hurts at the sight of his country, which he also sees as an Empire, going on its last leg. That pain makes him reveal a lot of things which he would never have said in any other circumstances. An interesting interview. The Saker PS: he is wrong about the Russian military dependence on the Ukraine industry. The past two years have shown that Russia has, in reality, found ways to replace Ukrainian systems with Russian ones which were much more modern.
Well, when the big ones get to big, we have to say no and give them govern or oublic control again.
And of course those russian combinates dont have to live forever. Making new products making new industrial complexes.
Thanks for the artikel.
isis go out Manbij because their parents come there to aid. This is an agreement.
